I would of course have loved for them to get have done all the stories they planned on doing. I think originally the heart Lex destroys in front of Jordan was meant to be a fake one. That we would come to find out Lex kept the real one as a trophy. Maybe they wouldn't have given him back his heart this season. Keeping it for when earth was in danger and Lex would have used it as a bargaining chip. Full pardon in exchange for superman getting his heart back. By introducing Godfrey it's clear that the final big bad would have been Darkseid. And a depowered Superman would not have stood a chance against him. At the same time better to go out on a high note than risk them getting into a situation like the arrowverse did all the time. Where they had plans and had to change story story lines and Characters (like blue beetle who was set up to appear as early as season 1, Task force X and Amanda killed off, booster gold being denied until the legends finale) because they were told the movies were going to use them and they didn't want there to be confusion. The good thing about the show itself is that it's timeless. The show was careful as to not date itself. I think people will end up discovering the show. It's on Max right now but they will probably want to try and make some money if it going to either Netflix or Amazon. And people who gets hungry for more Superman after Gunn's movie will have a great show with a beginning middle and as close to a proper ending they could do considering their budget of 2 million dollars per episode was cut down going into season 4.
@dcworld4349 such a shame they couldn't just let them have this show continue. All the story bits that they clearly wanted to continue in later stuff gets dropped but still they ended on a pretty good note so there rhat
@@PhoenixKing567 If CW hadn't been bought they might have kept going Since despite the successful shows they have never turned a profit. In fact the best they've managed to do is have certain shows make them be able to break even in some years and others at a loss. But even for them, they could also have said it was not enough viewers to justify making more. For every season that came out they lost roughly half a million viewers. A show can survive losing an audience between season 1 and 2, sometimes people enjoy a show, but for whatever reason don't feel compelled to go back to it once they felt it was done. But by the time season 4 came, they had on average 500.000 viewers. The reason Lucifer was saved was even though they lost half their audience by the time season 3 came along. They were pulling about 3.5 million viewers, which for Netflix was more than enough because they could also see that the streaming numbers were doing better than it airing on Fox. I don't have proof, but I don't think its the case that Superman and Lois was having the same on HBO Max.
Tyler's take on Superman from Superman & Lois will join my long list of favorite Supermen from both live-action and animated. Here's hoping that David's take gets a longer lifespan than what Henry's was before Tyler came along. Tyler really brought back the respect for Superman given how the former heads at WB would just shaft Henry for so many years. Denying Henry from doing possible great takes to the character he was a real geek like us regarding Superman.
I was a little bit afraid of this show - Flash was good in first season but later it was worse and worse. But when I watched series it was great. Tyler is great as superman and even better as Clark Kent.
It went by so fast. Thank you, Tyler!
Best Superman since Reeve. Shame he may never get the credit he deserves as the CW audience is somewhat limited.
