    • @khatool
      @khatool ปีที่แล้ว

      Because obviously, Bill Maher's version of events are misleading. Obviously students aren't offended by valid discussions. Some quotes from the original story:
      "...allegations the office found to be substantiated include Kilborn in a January 2020 lecture dismissing a Black student’s view that his comments were overgeneralizing references to people of color, referring to racial minorities as “cockroaches,” and denouncing their participation in civil rights claims. Additionally, the letter claims Kilborn characterized media stories focused on the negative behaviors of white men as “lynching.” All of the remarks were made in the space of one hour, according to the letter, and Kilborn reportedly acknowledged much of the conduct."
      "....he refused to participate in cultural competency training and coachings...."
      "...other classes that included racial slurs as part of the academic process have been meaningful. As an example....a property class taught by UIC Law professor Cecil Hunt. They read cases with a lot of offensive language, nothing was redacted and much of it was discussed in class..."

      • Here goes the wanker who wanked his way out to think that everyone can have equal and open mindset(Karl Marx and Marxism). And his ideology soon infect different parts of the world.

They do not mix with modern society whether it's a system run by whites, reds, yellows, purples, or orange. And not black, because they dont have the intelligence or brain capacity to create a modern society, let alone even understand how it's run. Evolution has past them by and it's time for them to go back and end up like the Dodo.

I'd be curious whether she wanted to hide her head in the sand, or whether she thought she could have gotten the message with a little less immersion. If she was crying because the content upset her, I kind of feel sorry for her; but if she was crying because she thought the professor shouldn't be able to show it, that's a lot less sympathetic.

    If you asked me a few years ago, I would have never thought that Bill Maher, a man who was at the forefront of the elitist progressivism that evolved into this social contagion, would be one of the only voices of reason in the entertainment world fighting this very thing. But I'll gladly take it.
    He's gone through a redemption in my eyes. Not that he owed anybody that, but I'm glad I can feel that way. His ability to have mature discussions with those he might disagree with, and incredibly, _actually_ change his mind on topics after doing so, has restored my respect for him in a way that very few ever have. He's a powerful voice in this fight, considering his left-leaning political disposition. And he's a brilliant example that people on the left don't have to comply to this ideological cultism.

Creationism is also a form of wokeness where they ignore evidence for a myth. What is practicing genetics based on...the textbooks or creation science books? And what do they teach genetic students so they can practice genetics? Not saying you are a creationist, just saying that creationism is woke cos it goes against known reality just like flat earth does.

    • @Shasta_Rayne
      @Shasta_Rayne ปีที่แล้ว +27

      @@stevendeas I define "woke" as: equity over equality through a racial and/or gender lens.
      To me, being a conservative means a lot but I will try to be brief. I support policies that prioritize more power in the hands of "we the people" as opposed to more power concentrated in the hands of the federal government. I believe in states rights, freedom, the rule of law and the constitution. I believe in the individual and value that individual, personal autonomy that is a God given right that puts the focus on the individual as opposed to the "collective". I believe in free will; equal opportunity as opposed to guaranteed equal outcomes which is one of the ideological focal points of DEI policies. Conservatives value the family and our freedom; we do not want the government embedded into every aspect of our lives. Again, this is just very brief overview into what being "conservative" means to me. There is a lot more that I could say.

      You believe power should rest with "we the people" but you support the party that has stripped the right to vote from millions.

    Very good reminder. You may also want to look at the French revolution. Maybe US schools teach about 1789 and "let them eat cake" is all you guys remember, but it actually went very dark in 1793-1794 during a phase known as "the Terror". That's when Robespierre (yeah, that one name you might remember from school as a good guy) tried to turn France into a dictatorship, jailed 500,000 people and executed tens of thousands without trial and for motives that may have had nothing to do with revolution. He got stopped and guillotined without trial himself.
    That same Robespierre, at the start of the Revolution, was fighting for Jewish and black people to be allowed to vote, and for the abolition of the death sentence. Sounds like some people you know ?
    When you start a big fire, it'll never burn just what you want it to burn, and it'll take immense effort to stop.
    Give the woke mob guillotines and set them lose. Do you imagine they'll just stop at actual racists ? History tells us that they'll rather kill people they are jealous of and then claim it was "for the Cause". And you better not contest that if you like breathing.
