I'm with you on feeling rushed. I have to get back on trail at Long Falls Dam Road to get as close to the ferry as I can, before it closes on the 30th. Then I have to hope that my leg holds up to and through the Hundred Mile Wilderness and Katahdin. After that, I still have the trail from Long Falls Dam Road back to Interstate 93 to hike. I'm hopeful that the weather will hold for me, but it's unlikely. I won't be back on trail for another 2 weeks and I can't do 20 mile days. Enjoying the preview of what I hope to do. 👍
Day 28 sees HAWK up early for the beautiful/magical Sunrise at East Carry Pond before embarking on a 10.5 mile day. . . .along the way we get a Loon at West Carry Pond and the gorgeous Flag Staff Lake before HAWK settles in to the HAWK'S Nest at East Flag Staff Road to rest up and refuel for The Bigelow's. . . . .and for Today's HAWKISM @7:51 we have HAWK summing up the day, "What a beautiful day for a nice little walk in the woods."

Wonderful lakes! Your injury was unforeseen, and you lost a week, that would make you feel hurried. You should be done with most of the tall mountains by October 15th, no bad weather. Enjoy!
The opening shots at the pond are just gorgeous. I think I would have had a hard time leaving such a beautiful place. Appreciate that even though you feel rushed, you are still taking time to make these videos. TY!✌

You should consider slowing down and just finish your hike in the spring. I would understand if you want to do a “true” through hike though.
