Let's get ready for 2025! If you want more videos on how to live below your means, I've got you! Watch this next! th-cam.com/video/cT-P04CAdg4/w-d-xo.html
NOW! THAT totally works. Motivation also increases in a few minutes after you begin, then you move onto something else and the motivation continues. Make little steps with once a day chores. So when Saturday gets here... it truly will be your day off! Why? How? Bc you did your Saturday routine one chore per day m-f when you get off work. One chore per day and Saturday is all yours with zero chores!
Hi Kate, haven’t talked for a while. I’ve moved into my tiny house. My downsizing was extreme and now that it’s done, my goodness I’ve taken a huge step forward. I’m debt free with a buffer and emergency fund. 2025 is starting in a great place. I got me this far. Let’s see how far I can go.
I love tiny houses. I'm so proud of you. I want to see pictures of your tiny house. And I bet it feels so good to be debt-free and have an emergency fund.
Starting January, I plan to eat up everything in my freezer and pantry. I'll give myself just $15.00 a week for fresh fruit and vegetables (and maybe chocolate). I did it this past January and went about 6 weeks without a large grocery shopping trip, amazing!
I think I'll try that too! I was just noticing that my freezers are getting crowded and I'm running short of space and containers. They also need organized so I can find the food I have!
Prepping allows one to do that all the time, and makes shopping optional, it's a good way to live. It also mitigates inflation and shortages and allows one to feel confident about the future.
@@Kim-eh2ov You use food up while it's still at its peak flavor and nutritional value. No freezer burn and neglected items shoved behind more recent purchases. So you aren't wasting anything. And you think up creative meal plans at the same time. You know what you have and what you need to buy when you do go to the store. I found out that I need to replenish my stash of frozen meats in January. But I still have a lot of frozen fruit and vegetables that I need to use.
where in Switzerland did you visit? I am born and raised Swiss and moved to Canada 25 years ago so always curious to hear about people and their visits.
See and that's Switzerland trip is going to give you so much memory so many wonderful memories instead of going out to buy needless things that you probably would have already forgotten about.
Many people wait until spring to do thier spring cleaning. Consider beginning in the dreary, indoor days of January. - Put some Christmas music on if that brings you joy, its between you and your 4 walls if ypire still listening to Cjphristmas music until spring if you choose - Go through the cupboards one by one to wash down the shelves, side walls, grooves in the doors, etc... Wipe down the baseboards, crown or ceiling moldimg, tops of the doors, etc... Move the furnitire to vacuum under, behind, and in the corners. Wash the interior windows to allow a maximum amount of light in. Starting the spring cleaning in January lends its self to more time filled, physicsl activity, sorting and organizing, decluttering, and all the things. It also lets you enjoy the spring doing spring things rather than cleaning.
I really appreciate this idea! I'm an educator and spring is a very busy time for us (testing season), so I rarely do the kind of spring cleaning people talk about. I love the idea of doing this in winter!
What a great idea, get spring clean all done during the bad weather, then when the weather starts to get warmer and (Hopefully) drier I’ll have the time to spend outside walking my beautiful dog, gardening and generally being outside, knowing my home is clean tidy and declutterred. I’m starting straight after Christmas.
I am committing to not only a no spend January but also a low spend 2025. Someone on this thread said “financial minimalism is intelligent” and that’s how I am looking at it from now on. Not a place of anxiety and scarcity but instead a place of strength, control, security, and power. Mindset is everything. As you said, no one is coming, if someone or something does, it’s a blessing to be appreciated at the time. However, if others can do this, so can I. I love your channel, even though I have admittedly not followed your wonderful advice many times. I’m listening and doing now. My no spend low spend year is starting a week early in fact. No time like the present. 😉⭐️🔥🙌🏻Thanks for the video(s)! Keep‘em coming! 😁💕
Kate!! I MUST tell you: I AM OFFICIALLY DEBT FREE!!! I finally paid off a loan from my parents, that I asked to pay off a mortgage after selling a flat (the mortgage was bigger than the listing price, I bought it in 2007 and the prices never recovered completely). As of now, the one bedroom condo my husband and I share is fully paid for, my car and two garage spots are paid for and I have no debt whatsoever and no rent. I cannot express in words how happy I feel . I am over the moon!!! Lots of love from Spain❤
Loved No One's Coming! I've lived on a limited income for most of my adult life and inherited a scarcity mindset from my Depression Era parents. I thought the only way I'd ever have the life I wanted was if I found a rich guy. Wrong! Once I learned to budget and live within my means, my life has been transformed! I love budgeting cuz I'm prioritizing what's important to me. I now have good credit, all bills paid on time, with enough left to take road trips with my guy 3 or 4 times a year. I'm going to create a No One's Coming sign to remind myself that I have the power and have had it all along, just like Dorothy! ❤❤❤
Concentrate on eliminating waste, for example food, money, time. Looking at everything I own as a resource that I need to manage with the least amount of waste.
Word of 2025 for me: Aligned Yes quality over quantity. I have been very conscious of how I spend my money the last 18 months and went more frugal the last 3 months living off cash other than bills. I used to do this in the past and it always works and saves me quite a bit of money. Excited and ready for no spend January
Yes! Preach ❤ "I want to buy my freedom instead of stuff" is actually what i said to myself about Christmas this year when I was budgeting last week. So just some nice food and a present for the cat and a gift to charity this Christmas and setting the tone for 2025.
I am excited for my first no spend January. I have prepared to live further below my means by developing my love of crocheting. I have designed a product that is bringing in extra income and I am making sweaters for myself instead of buying them. Wearables for winter and spring/fall. This will enhance my wardrobe. I found many yarn on sale and stocked up so I don’t have to buy for months. I recently moved to a senior community and have used the items I already had to decorate and had friends “give” me literally furniture for free and I LOVE my new home. I didn’t learn money management until my late fifties but I am excited to continue this journey for the remainder of my time here on earth. It is exciting to me.
In January of '22 we began a concentrated effort of purposefully using "all" the things that were opened in every nook and cranny of the house and garage as a decluttering activity. By June of '22, we carried this on as a frugal living activity which carried us foreward well into '23 as we expanded into using up items that hadnt been opened as well. If you want a low(er) effort, live within your means, approach i recommend this one. It follows with the "use what you have" motto. For us, it began with using up the assortment of condimemts over flowing the refridgerator door and the cleaning products under sinks even though they were nolonger the items we grabbed for. It quickly extended to the assorted hygine and pretty smellies. Everything we used up meant we bought less, wasred less, and freed up valuable space.
Alignment. I really LOVE that word. My husband passed last year, and then I retired in May. I've had to do it all for years, either adapting or changing the path. Thank you for pushing me ( us) to propell forward.
Dear Kate & KSquad. I am looking forward to no spend January and I have committed to a low spend 2025. Over the past few weeks I have come to realize I am an unconscious shopper...I buy on automatic because wants/needs have been tangled in my brain. So in 2025 I am going to be shopping my home and will identify the possessions that bring me joy. Those things that are useful and those things that can be given away. As Kate said I am going to go through my inventory in 2025...I am excited about this. I am making other changes designed to help me appreciate what I already have. My word for 2025 is "ENOUGH". Thank you Kate.
Really enjoy your channel. I am retired and living alone. Honestly? There is way more that I could be doing! I have hobbies that I can sell at craft shows and that is more satisfying to me than all the dinners out I could partake in. Instead of buying books I read free ebooks…for example I’ve read over 70 books this past year, because they were ebooks and not paper I saved a bundle! Now I’m thinking of headphones…lol thanks for fun vids!
You are always the motivational kick i need!! December has been a really spendy month. I have put up a tree for the first time since 2006, bought it and ornaments. Got a ton of baking stuff to make all kinds of Christmas cookies over my 2 week holiday. This is totally a fantasy self and I really doubt I will make them. January will be a good reset month to stem the flow. I kind of lost the Christmas cheer a bit yesterday because my daughter defaulted on a loan i co-signed and my credit rating went from 780 to 640 in less than a month. If she had told me I could have paid it. I think she is 5 or 6 payments behind. On a happier note, I am travelling by float plane before Christmas to see my youngest granddaughter's concert and having a small family gathering. My grandson and his partner are coming Christmas eve to spend the night with my great grandson who is a young orange tabby named Toby. They bring me such joy! Every time I feel upset or down I look at my tree, smile and say: I love my tree!! Hugs to Kaden Sorry for the long post.
Have been doing this 40 years,it works! Always have saved, bought off season, bought on sale esp pet food, pantry staples and raw fleece ( drop spinning bespoke yarn is stress and budget relieving), buying/making only classic stuff and wearing it 40 yrs. Learn how to diversify savings into what I call liquid, slush and frozen depends on earnings. Don't dress to impress, people speak more freely when they think you are nothing. If needed return later dressed up. Plant perennial food esp if have young kids, many lessons there
Hello Kate! So enjoy your videos! Wanted to add that my dad raised us with the philosophy that “we can’t afford to buy it twice, so save until you can purchase a quality item”. Doesn’t need to be the most expensive, just well made to last. His advice has been so helpful through the years and does save money and frustration. 😊
Kate! I’m so excited!!! I got an 827 credit score, and was approved for a credit card frim my credit union. You have no idea how many times i have been turned down for a credit card in the past!!!
Planned to buy a woollen blanket but they cost about 500 euro. Just sitting waiting for a deal and this weekend a shop is doing sales for quality woollen blanket for about 200 euro ( planned construction works so they are selling stock ) So frugal also equals patience.
I think a made the biggest saving cost ever. Got the woolen blanket for 99 EURO ( and it is really excellent quality got one of the last , they really have to clear the shop before starting the contstruction work ) . I gave myself a nice Xmas gift . I think 2025 will become a great year again .
Hey Kate, well, my big paycheck wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be. I have paid off a big chunk of it, though. It WILL be paid off in full by September 2025, which is 4 months earlier. Merry Christmas x
It's 6 pm. I worked today but got off early and I was lost. I put your video on while I was making my to-do list. I was going to start in the morning, but your words made me start now. I have a couple of hours to tick some stuff off my list. Thanks for the encouragement.
I am going to shop for groceries with cash. I started this month, and I have had to stop using credit cards so being disciplined and sticking to a budget is imperative for me going into 2025! Also, I started using iBotta and Fetch this month and so far have earned $45 cash back! I am holding that money as a savings account and will hopefully use it as a sinking fund when I figure out a goal!
@@MadisonBriggsArtchick I use my debit card for my big grocery/supply shop at the first of the month. But it's very strict according to my list. Then I take only a set amount of cash with me for further shopping trips. Another trick I play on myself is that, if I absolutely run out if something early that I really need, I save gas and the temptation to overspend by just picking up that one item up at a Dollar Tree or convenience store when I'm out running other errands.
I find that Ibotta is not very friendly to use because I buy a lot of generic stuff and you very rarely get credit for it. Fetch works good for me and I get surprises now and then when a product I bought gets me extra points!!
You have great ideas! Like your advice to buy nice or twice! I have a wonderful warm parka that I have had for over 15 years. Best investment! Also, have a nice dressy winter coat that I love for special occasions. Wishing you and your son a Merry Christmas!
Happy frugal friday Kate and K-squad!!! 🏇🤺 No knight in shining armour???? damm I knew it was a fairytail🧚.... Fortunately girl power💪 is a real thing😂😉.
Wow! Kate you are awesome at encouragement thank you. I'm a newly single mom after 25 years, mom to 8 kids .You telling me no one is coming is what I need to hear daily. Lots of emotions .❤
Going to go through and declutter stuff I no longer use. Posting useable items on my local FB Buy Nothing group. Spending today making Christmas cookies and candy using only what is already in my pantry. January and February are usually my low or no spend months. Mostly because I hate shopping when it is cold and snowy. I want the coming year to be me consciously using what I already have. I have an HVAC system to replace, major electrical work, and possibly a new roof this year. I am committed to doing this without having to take out a loan for any of it.
In 2025 i will be turning 57 i pray for freedom peace of mind good health for me and my family closer to God spend less less family pleasing more achieving my goals
I challenged myself to live on 25K in 2024... Although I came in over...I was pretty darn close 27K 😊 living below your means is a mindset shift for sure...but so worthwhile.
My thing is a vacation experience, so what I'm going to do more of is to find free or almost free vacation experiences, like going to the local free beach, relaxing at home with some good grocery store food, and relaxing at a nearby free destination that gives vacation vibes while I live below my means to continue to complete the 7 Baby Steps and saving for spread out really nice vacations.
Hi Kate! As I’m sitting here, listening to you, I have one word in my mind to focus on next year. The word is ENJOY. I think I am supposed to enjoy everything I am doing, to be in the moment.❤
Hi Kate, Your very inspirational. I really like your videos. My hubby and I have been living well below our means for over 15 years. We didn't jump into it head first, just dip your toe in, then your foot etc and before you know it, you realise just how much money you waste on STUFF...Its become a lifestyle for us and I wouldn't change anything that we do :) Have a wonderful weekend :)
Yes, yes, yes. Just do it! Quick talking about we "should" exercise/trainmore than twice a week. Quick talking about going one weekend day; just do it! I love, love, loved this video's points. Thank you, Kate!
I love your tips!! I love to buy quality!! Saves so much in the long run 🙂 I didn't do this with my slippers and wound up buying three pairs in the time I could have just ordered the pair I have. The other pairs I bought, too, didn't last me but two weeks 😞 Wasted about $30 (on the pairs that didn't last) and spent about $25 on my current pair.
Excellent video, thank you! I loved what you said about Alignment. Great examples, so true. I also loved Nobody’s Coming. I am a widow (lost my husband a little over a year ago) and that is my motto. I was recently called cheap from a family member (I assure you I am not). This came from a person who is in total debt and eats out ALL the time. I have no debt and I choose not to eat out. I must make sure I exercise today. 😊
I loved this video Kate!! Especially the start now portion. It’s so much better to start and keep going than to focus on the end and if you’re going to get there. Our brains are so wired to shield us from risk and keep us safe and in our comfort zone. You have to change the behavior before your brain can accept you’re not going to die by changing!! 😅
To the nobody is coming.... Kate I rely on God who is Jehovah...!! And one or the things I do when I'm overwhelmed or find myself worrying I rely on God by throwing my burdens on him as he says in Psalm 55:22. And when I'm overwhelmed or filled with anxiety I do what 1 Peter 5:7 says... And the other thing is what u were talking about is me harmonizing with my prayers.....😊😊😊😅😅😅
So, let me get this right. As the new year approaches, Look at the big picture and aim your lifestyle that direction. Don't punish yourself by denying your deep desires. Instead, trim off the fat of all of those unnecessary "extras" that will bury your hopes and dreams. And work on your clutter. Give things the freedom of going to places that will love them and use them, instead of gathering dust in the garage rafters. If they could talk, they would thank you. How am I doing?❤
Hi Kate! I love this message of yours. I am already for No Spend January. Going to do it for February also. Since I will be at my Mom's for most of January. Helping her out. I will leave next Saturday for my Mom's and won't be home until end of January. So February I will be back home and will do no spend February also. I will have a gift card for Dollar Tree. And a gift card for Sonic. Dollar Tree is my favorite store to shop at. So I will have those for February. Mom doesn't drive anymore. So in January will mostly be home with her. That's why I want to do no spend February also. Thank you for this message. No one is coming to save me is right. I am very independent. My Mom always said no one is going to do it for you- you do it yourself. Don't depend on anyone. Looking forward to 2025. I have most of budget done for 2025. I am saving money on my internet. I was saying to a friend I got my internet cheaper for 29.95. he said my wife and I only get ours for 9.95 and it's still a high speed. So I called my cable company and called and now I am paying only 9.95. Yay! Already saving money! Thank you Kate
I’ve been watching you for years. I started a channel just a few months ago. I’m debt free and looking for more freedom. Thanks for staying consistent all of these years ❤
Happy friday Kate, New sub here. 🎉 Your totally right, wait for no one and I repeat NO ONE to save you! You will be forever your own hero. I always end my year crafting a new moodboard for the upcomming NY so I can visualize my goals before I go gettem. Greetings from the Netherlands ❤
The big declutter is daunting. It’s very hard for me to make progress. In the interim, I’ve committed to taking things to two local thrifts every Monday. One supports a pantry by selling donated household items, clothes etc. I pop a few of the better things into a bag along with some shelf-stable food items. Too easy. I also make a point of gathering a bag of a few more things I can part with to drop at another nearby thrift. Somehow it’s easier to make headway with these destinations in mind.
Hello, we (57 and 56 year olds) were planning on selling and downsizing this year since all our kids are grown. But, the market doesn't seem to be good and our house payment is cheaper than what it would be with the interest rates at the moment. I think we'll just stay put and once all the kids move out in the spring, all our bills will go down significantly. I'll take that extra money and throw it at a loan we've been paying down. We will eventually sell and move to free ourselves from bills. We want to wait until the market is better. I already buy as low as I can on groceries, utilities, etc. so I'm saving us as much money as I can. I plan on having a yard sale this spring to get rid of unnecessary clutter. Any suggestions for anything I may not have thought of?
You inspired me to get going on a conservatory in our unused walled in garage. It had been my nephew's apartment but we lost him to COVID 2 years ago & just haven't had the heart to use that room again. You let me feel like it's time. It's really time. Thank you.
Yes! I have food storage and do use what we have. Recently I put this promotion idea on steroids by having a top use box in my kitchen to remind me to use those items. Ill do that monthly now. "Use what you have" has been my annual motto for a number of years.
I meal plan beginning with my larder (fridge, freezers, pantry). I dedicate a spot in my fridge for eat first (and left overs), my refridgerator freezer, often my remote freezer, and often my pantry shelves. I move stuff from the remote freezer to fridge freezer, remote pantry to kitchen pantry, etc... Probably closer to once per month as opposed to weekly (unless im on a mission to eat through) I do a more major movement of foods to closer and easier to use. However, when a food(s) isn't getting rotated i put it on the kitchen counter and begin tomtjaw it in the fridge where it is in the way taking up valuable real estate, and simply can't be ignored.
I’m excited for this! I’m a serial buyer and returner- it feels crappy. I want to stop doing this. I also need to stop buying clothes at Walmart- they don’t last for me.
I've only just noticed you're doing a summary at the end of your videos now, Kate (I hadn't noticed before so if you've been doing it for ages, I'm sorry!) - I just wanted to say how much I like that feature. Have a great weekend! Loads of good ideas here, as there always are, and I'm pleased to say that some of them I'm already doing, hurrah! 😀
This weekend is just going to be raining ☔ so i decided i am decluttering 2 big bedroom dressers 😅 one is full of books already read 📖 those are being donated, the other dresser has lol yes more books 📚 lol 😅 my Cowboy wanted to keep them just incase 🤦♀️ donations yep !!! Next will be a old closet i have not been into for 2 years 😂❤
You know I think it's easier to do it by yourself because if you have family especially kids. They're going to try and derail you from clearing things out and not buying. I really think that you can do this and you're going to feel so good.
What I'm going to do is I'm going to use one face wash one of each of my makeup and shampoo and conditioner I've got so many and I'm going to use it till it's gone and instead of sometimes I'll reach in the cabinet and I'll say oh here's one or here's one and it's never emptying out and gone. I'm using the same clothes like you said I might put like a cute little jacket with it or shawl or something I have but I'm definitely going to use what I have and I'm going to use up what I have before I buy anything else including food.
I have lost so much time with family this last year by working overtime, I have extra stuff and no time. Work have cancelled overtime, therefore I will be earning less, but spending time with family. 2025 will be time over money, as this is the case I will need to get used to earning less. Your tips are going to help with every aspect of this. Thanks for your time and enthusiasm over this subject xx
Lesley!!! I hear you! Right? AHH! It's so hard to find the balance...gotta provide, but gotta have that time too. It's tough. Cheers to a better year and finding the balance! Having fun with the family but also not stressing about paying the bills:) We've got this!
I'm working on my no-buy, low-buy strategy and also working on my "aspirational crafting" collections. I've got way too many different craft interests, and I'm going to hone them down to TWO: photography and drawing/acrylic painting. I'm in Connecticut and you sound like you're from the state as well. If so, great to "meet" you and your really helpful channel! 😊
Kate is waiting every week for your new video to come out. I watch a lot of your old videos. To keep the movation going. This is the 3rd month of budgeting for me...I have tried before, but I couldn't make a real budget.. Keep videos coming .Cheers to you for making great videos..
I have been encouraging my husband to try a no spend for the first time. We’ve never done it and I want to see how much we can save. Limiting or even cutting out Door Dash is our biggest financial cut for 2025.
And to add to my previous comment, I think being debt-free means living in the moment. We don’t have to look back and think a good pay for all the stuff we’ve already bought. It’s paid for let’s look forward.
Great video, Kate. The point about just doing things really resonated with me. I tend to overthink everything and analyze things too much. Sometimes I just need to take action!
We often segregate some of our projects into "work fast" going for quantity and "work well" going for quality. This usually means that an area or a task requires more than one sweep. For example, let's say there is a cluttered kitchen with no visible counter space. A first task may be to put away every ingredient container that can be put away pretty much immediately; it is fast, easy, and quick reducing the counter clutter but may not be very visible. A second task might be to make a full dishwasher load maximizing dishwasher space (this might require a quick sweep of other rooms for specific items; leave the rest) then set it off going; again quick and easy. A third task may be to stack and organize the stuff which should be more possible because of task 1 and 2. Then you can do a quick visual sweep towards more complete, "work well" efforts. Often this begins with a load of the hand wash items set to dry, a quick sweep, and maybe taking out the garbage. Then comes wiping down counters and stove, area by area which involves getting down to the counters in the first place. Meanwhile dishes are ready to be unloaded and out away while the dishwasher is ready for a second load if needed. Again, work the quick, easy, and fast first.
Hi Kate Just wanted to tell you I really like your content and the way you deliver it. You are a talented and authentic motivational speaker. Your video really impressed me and I take all of it to heart. Thank you!!!
@KateKaden You inspiration you! I am using one of those A6 binders like for cash, but each money saving challenge will be attached to an activity that I have been wanting to do. Like reading, music, exercise, meal prep, etc. So I will be FRUGAL by using things I already have and budgeting my time to get more enjoyment from life! Here is to 2025!!
Hi Kate and Kaden I’m going to get caught up on your videos ❤. It’s been a bad year but got my big girl pants on moving towards the new year. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! ❤️
When I found a piece of clothing that I really really liked, like one year, Old Navy had these amazing yoga pants that were flared and had pockets, I must’ve bought five or six pairs. Now I realize with this new pair of jeans I found I’m dying to buy a second pair, but I won’t! Because I don’t need to!
So excited for 2025!!!
A mindset change from “ I am struggling” to, “ I have resources to manage “ was a game changer for me.

Congratulations 🎉
Life and the Blessings of life be upon you in your new home!

@@sjordan7085 That is so true.
But after you eat all that up, then you got to go start all over to fill up the pantry and freezer, don't see how that works in any kind of favor
@@Kim-eh2ov You use food up while it's still at its peak flavor and nutritional value. No freezer burn and neglected items shoved behind more recent purchases. So you aren't wasting anything. I found out that I need to replenish my stash of frozen meats in January. But I still have a lot of frozen fruit and vegetables that I need to use.
My husband and I didn't buy anything but food and utilities bills for and year and we're able to go to Switzerland!!
where in Switzerland did you visit? I am born and raised Swiss and moved to Canada 25 years ago so always curious to hear about people and their visits.
See and that's Switzerland trip is going to give you so much memory so many wonderful memories instead of going out to buy needless things that you probably would have already forgotten about.
You are squandering your savings on a short holiday? 😮
I like the idea of being your own hero and not waiting for someone to save you ❤
Right? We can do this! :)
Great idea!
Awesome content! I wish I could give it more likes! "Buy freedom instead of stuff!" Gold!

Congratulations!
Exactly, Less stuff equals less dusting 😂❤
I have Bose 🎉❤ They never break. Used to go through headphones like tissue. Frugal is not cheap 🎉🎉🎉Frugal is quality over quantity
Exactly quality over quantity I am 56 I want to declutter my whole home
Concentrate on eliminating waste, for example food, money, time. Looking at everything I own as a resource that I need to manage with the least amount of waste.
"No one is coming to save you". Thank you I needed that slap in the face..😂
Happy Friday! :) :) LOL:) 😌
Word of 2025 for me: Aligned
Yes quality over quantity. I have been very conscious of how I spend my money the last 18 months and went more frugal the last 3 months living off cash other than bills. I used to do this in the past and it always works and saves me quite a bit of money.
Excited and ready for no spend January
YASSS! Let's do this!
Me too 😊
Thanks for this. I often feel overwhelmed by the clutter and the money spent. At 66, it’s definitely time to do something about it.
My story is much the same as yours. My husband passed last year in November and I retired in March. Trying to learn to live on 1 income.
I am 70. I love your train of thought. Well done. Frugal Fit Mom is another channel with the same mindset.
Love frugal fit mom. I also love pepper princess
I have a tablet and I would like to start reading books too how do you get free ebooks on the tablet?
Plant perennial food esp if have young kids, many lessons there
What a great message. Especially to prioritize freedom over stuff. It's a reminder to me to make this year count!
Hello Kate! So enjoy your videos!
Wanted to add that my dad raised us with the philosophy that
“we can’t afford to buy it twice, so save until you can purchase a quality item”.
Did you put a lot of money in a savings account?
@ no. i had saved up my property taxes in a savungs account (~$400), but i took it out in November to pay them.
Oh don't do the credit card. No no no That will get you in debt. Just pay cash if you don't have the cash you don't have the money.
You don't need a credit card, just pay cash. Credit card will cause you to overspend and go into debt.
This is amazing
Great to hear that someone else will be paying in cash! I will start this in January.
I purchased AirPods 4 years ago I use them for hours every day. Still going strong. Amen buy quality
Happy frugal friday Kate and K-squad!!! 🏇🤺 No knight in shining armour???? damm I knew it was a fairytail🧚.... Fortunately girl power💪 is a real thing😂😉.
YASSSSSSS!!!!!😍
Good goal. I like covering these things too We just had to remove a huge (huge) old ash tree due to emerald ash borer. Sad to see it go and the bill
In 2025 i will be turning 57 i pray for freedom peace of mind good health for me and my family closer to God spend less less family pleasing more achieving my goals
Over thinker party of 1 over here! 🙋♀
Superb Kate. NO ONE is coming!
I really appreciate the action steps summary at the end! Have a wonderful holiday and happy New year Kate & K-squad!
Hi Happy Kate! Great video as usual! I am very much looking forward to a new year and a fresh start. Let’s make 2025 great!
Me tooo!!!!
🙋🏼♀️ Overthinking is my superpower and damn if I’m not shining right now. 🌟 ✨
Saves so much in the long run 🙂
I didn't do this with my slippers and wound up buying three pairs in the time I could have just ordered the pair I have. The other pairs I bought, too, didn't last me but two weeks 😞 Wasted about $30 (on the pairs that didn't last) and spent about $25 on my current pair.
That's such a great example! 🙏
I’m going to declutter. That’s the main thing on my agenda for 2025!
Happy Frugal Friday, Friends. ❤☺
😊
Such good advice . This helps me to really refocus. Thank you!
You are very welcome!
My mom always said….buy good buy once.
As the new year approaches,
Look at the big picture and aim your lifestyle that direction.
Ur doing great
Overthinker here. Thanks for the tip of "do it now". I will take this into the year. Thank u!
Who did you go with for internet?
@misst1586 I live in Central Florida. It's the company Comcast and it's also called Xfinity.
I bought my beats used from a pawn shop for $50 3 years ago best purchase ever!
Anker headphones are amazing!!! Inexpensive amazing sound and durable
LOVE this video! I wrote down each umbrella thought. 😊
"You're your own hero. It's YOU!!" Yesss girl!! 💪❤️
I’ve been watching you for years. I started a channel just a few months ago. I’m debt free and looking for more freedom. Thanks for staying consistent all of these years ❤
Yeah! Fresh start. Savings growing😊
YAS!
Happy friday Kate,
New sub here. 🎉
Your totally right, wait for no one and I repeat NO ONE to save you!
Try to also remember it took you years to accumulate stuff, so give yourself grace when sorting through it and getting it out of the house.
@ Thank you.
Great idea for a video!👍❤️
I’m excited for this! I’m a serial buyer and returner- it feels crappy. I want to stop doing this. I also need to stop buying clothes at Walmart- they don’t last for me.
Will keep buying wool love to crochet and occasional takeaway coffee thank you kate
I made it. Hi guys . Happy Friday. May your day be Merry and Bright
HAPPY FRIDAY!
Next will be a old closet i have not been into for 2 years 😂❤
Speak the truth! I will definitely hear this when I am feeling weak.
I am an over thinker party of one as well. Also a professional procrastinator. Thanks for the kick in the butt.
Thank you, Kate. Exactly what I needed to hear.
You are very welcome! Have a great weekend Susan!
Kate lives in Maine. I'm doing the same as you. I have a craft room that needs organized. And a pantry to eat down. No spend low spend for me.
@amiegamble1678 awesome, thanks for sharing. Wishing you luck achieving your 2025 goals! 😊
Kate is waiting every week for your new video to come out. I watch a lot of your old videos. To keep the movation going. This is the 3rd month of budgeting for me...I have tried before, but I couldn't make a real budget.. Keep videos coming .Cheers to you for making great videos..
THANK YOU so so much!
Only time here. Very enjoyable. I am starting now to take control of my life. Thank you.
Great video, Kate! Looking forward to a frugal New Year!
Thanks so much! Me too!
Hi Kate
Just wanted to tell you I really like your content and the way you deliver it. You are a talented and authentic motivational speaker. Your video really impressed me and I take all of it to heart. Thank you!!!
Excellent video 😊 our savings are top priority this coming 2025
Merry Christmas and thank you for your videos, happy 2025!🌠☃❄
Thank you so so much for thinking of me this Christmas 🎄 I appreciate you tons🙏💞
New sub here! This video just came across my feed. Great subject. My goal for 2025 is to learn to live on a budget.
I will budget my time as well as my money.
YASSS Erin!
Great video, Kate, and even greater verbal push to get my tush in gear!
Thankyou for your suggestions ,Let us be wise with what God has given you
I am so glad I stumbled upon your video🤗. I am a new subscriber. Golden nuggets of wisdom.
