  • In this video, I discuss the daily income range of hot dog vendors and share my personal experiences. I explain how I initially calculated my potential earnings and the reality I faced on my first day. I also highlight the different factors that contribute to a vendor's income, such as location, menu options, and working hours. Throughout the video, I emphasize the importance of setting realistic expectations and finding satisfaction in your own financial goals. No specific action is requested from the viewers, but the information provided will help them gain a better understanding of the hot dog vending business.

      Bullshit. How much were the hotdogs (plates)?
      At $10/ea. that’s 320 hotdogs (plates) per hour. I’d be surprised if a food truck could even take 60 payments an hour.

      @@CountryKyle007 Good point! How many registers does the average food truck have? How long do you think it takes one person to swipe their card and pay for their food?
      At $20 that’s 2 1/2 card swipes every 60 seconds.
      I’ve been to more than 100 live events and more than 100 food trucks on the street and not one of them has ever moved that fast.

    This man is legit. He's helped more people that he can account for. This is just the surface y'all. Keep going. I started a lemonade brand in May this year and just crossed the $30k line in GROSS SALES. There is a difference between total collected, gross sales, and net income. Your net income, what you get to pay YOUR bills with, will never be as much as your sales. This is very important to understand. And to speak with the difference in mind.

    There's a casino in Las Vegas that has a hot dog stand inside. Not sure how much money it makes, but it's super popular. $1.50 a hot dog. No drinks or snacks to go with them. Just hot dogs. They are ALWAYS busy. Open from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

He goes to different festivals around MI and doesn't leave the state. He has 6 different homemade dips for the fries with one being a peanut butter concoction he learned from his Dutch grandmother. It's surprising how many people use mayo on the fries. Thinking about setting up on a pontoon boat.

    Personally, I've been in pizza for 22 years and get overhead costs actually doing the job... I'm not a businessman.. my fear of jumping into something like this is the paper side.. paying myself, taxed,the whole BS part of owning a business..
    Insurance cost,other government hoops,..
    I mean, is it as easy as doing a 1099 every year, or should I just give it to an accountant and let them deal with it and they pay me my paycheck

    Guys, if hot dog carts were so successful there wouldn't be thousands of them for sale on Facebook market place and Craig's List. Plus, he would be out making his million dollars selling hotdogs instead of here on TH-cam trying to sell you something else. If you really want to do it to earn some money you can get a used cart REALLY cheap all day long off those two sources. Don't waste your money buying a new cart.

    Hot dogs are getting worse. 40 years ago, people used to build empires making their own hot dogs in NJ, (Hot Dog Johnny's, Buttsville, NJ), Stewarts Hot Dogs (NJ), Tony's Atomic Hot Dogs (Ledgewood NJ), etc. Never heard of Tony's Atomic Hot Dogs? Because it burned down, but it owned the mall property. There was no reason to rebuild. Also the reason there is a pink house, in a mall parking lot. BUT, Anthony, failed at several businesses before he was successful with the hot dog business. Him and his family, tried a fancy food place first, near a High School, turned out to be a flop, but Tony then sold hot dogs after other family's exited the business. Turns out, every high school kid had hot dog money. Then he bought a swamp, and drained it. Best thing he did. He had one company own/manage the land. One company rents. One company rents to the tenants. There are layers, and layers, and layers. Looks like none of them were making money (lol), so, if anyone sued, there was not much to get.

      You have to bring it to the people. Location is so key. Also you have to give the people what they want, not what you want to sell them. Find out what’s missing in your area, find out where the people will be, and set up there. I go to Hollywood, and I pop up outside of different clubs and bars a couple of hours before they close. Mostly night sales because I work in the day. Hope this helps.

    • @BensCarts
      @BensCarts  22 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I know from experience... most of this "price gouging" is from the event coordinator. They'll require the vendor give up 30 to 50% of their gross sales. Although the vendor takes all the risk, product and poor turnout risks.... they must raise their prices to cover the almost illegal fees they pay out.

      @@BensCarts that is sad. My family and the friends we go with end up eating at standard restaurants after the events. We all agree to see if any of it's worth it but 8 out of 10 times....we skip it due to pricing and portion sizes and it's sad because eating at events is kind of the fun thing to do.
