Hey Devin, I was bench watching your vids yesterday and I thought to myself, How did I start watching your videos. Then i remembered it all started with this video. The evo x with the loud ass tomei exhaust. I just want to say great job of the videos. Enjoy watching on your videos on your build/projects. You're a very knowledgable person in all evos and sti. Titanium has a different resonance then stainless steel. That's why tomei exhausts sound different than most
Have full tomei on mine, including test pipe and downpipe, and let me just say it’s so good. it’s definitely a head turner since it’s loud in any gear, especially at wide open throttle. definitely gets some 6 ft flames on money shifts and downshifts!

lonewalker13 I'm not sure if it's the exhaust by itself or the combo of not having a cat cus the Topspeed kit includes a test pipe, it sounds awesome especially on wot and even better when it echoes through underpasses n bridges it screaming loud when u want but idling actually is quiet its dope

very unique sound for an evo,but jus a heads up you got a pretty bad leak somewhere in that exhaust,thats what that raspiness after you let off the throttle is,sounds like either hte midpipe or maybe the axleback,other than that,I loive the sound,like I said its very unique for a turbo car

the smaller pipe that connects from the mid to the muffler is that a tail pipe? what if you got 1 extra "tail pipe" with 1 extra tomei muffler for a dual exit? maybe weld the two small pipes to flow to the mid?
That exhaust is nice. But it's not the best. The best Evo X exhaust I've heard is the Speed Circuit Wicked Edition. Unfortunately they don't make it anymore. I have a 3 in. Ultimate Racing resonated test pipe and cat back, Full Race down pipe and dual open dump pipes. I think mine still sounds better under boost than the Tomei. Also I think a single exit doesn't look as good with our rear diffuser.

I had a tomei exhaust when I still have my EVO , it sounds absolutely sick but it has a weird titanium sound when you rev hard

The tomie expreme is crazy loud.. even more so when fitted with de-cat/turbo elbow. Can become a little obnoxious on longer runs, not all that nice to live with. Akrapovic do a nice system, titanium, dual exit configuration, good flow, nice sound but expensive. Janspeed sell the modular system Mitsubishi fitted to the fq440. Great performance, sound.. Not titanium though. Arguably better options...
