As for the exhaust, you can either buy a different manifold that isn’t true equal length, or get a quieter exhaust(I prefer ETS over Perrin. ETS makes a single exit too.) It’ll still never sound as rumbly and deep sounding as before because of the equal length manifold.
I think its awesome. thats the sound of efficciency my friend! just think about your subi when you went from unequal to equal length. its deff an acquired sound taste. the perrin us probably a full 3 inch so i mean think about this, the tomei has a 2.75 inch section which may or may not be a bottle neck for that turbo. food for thought!
keep the exhaust, youll eventually learn to love it and prob be happy it sounds a bit different then everyone elses setups. Its like going unequal to equal headers on the sti, took me a month to get used to it now id never go back.
The APR GTC-300 and the Voltex Type 1S(with the upper portion paint matched) are my two favorite aftermarket spoilers for the X. I also like the stock spoiler with a carbon fiber gurney flap add on.
I had a feeling the tomei wouldn't last! They never do with road cars. Janspeed fq440 modular system or akrapovic if budget will stretch. Janspeed system might be uk specific. You wont be disapointed with either - unfortunately both expensive but worth it given the spec of your build. 460-470 whp beyond that your into block sleeving.
The tomei on my X sounds nothing like that. It’s deep and throaty and at high rpms sounds amazing. No rasp at all. Ets downpipe, tomei test pipe. Idk why yours sounds like that.. something isn’t right with that. Tomei is one of the best sound and performing exhaust for evo’s. Mine is straight piped and I can drive it quiet if I really try but regular driving it’s not annoying or loud like that at all unless I’m really giving her the beans. Sounds like your running open headers.
I do agree it sounds a little raspy. You got to keep in mind there's a lot of guys that spend a ton of money to make their vehicle sound like that. Lol not my thing though. I like a deeper mellow sound.

Looking at doing something similar with my x... I've read with the map kits (I know yours is ets), that the turbo can burn oil... Are you running any restrictor in the feed line or doing anything special with your crankcase vent?

Hope u install some Radium gear soon, its all so nice. I think i could manage a turbo upgrade thanks to your videos. I installed a Tomei Ti Dump pipe, it was the worst getting stock shit off. I prefer the Voltex wing over APR wing. I had that dilemma when I was picking out the wing for my EVO X. The APR look too curvy and tilts too much.
