If i was a professional athlete id rather play some season level games before the season actually starts. I use to play sports in high school and i would love the few games we got before the season started because it gave me a chance to see and fix my issues before the season started. They got a whole month before the seasons starts, thats their break. Im sure most athletes would rather get full game exhibitions before a season actually starts
