EDINBURGH TO LONDON by train with LNER in First Class

- I took the LNER Azuma train in First Class from Edinburgh Waverley Station to London Kings Cross. Even though my incoming rail service was the Caledonian Sleeper in a Club Room, this was by no means a poor substitute. I received truly some of the best cabin service I've ever received in any cabin on land, on the sea or in the air.
All the team members working for LNER should be commended for offering friendly and genuine service.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, I watch too much TV, eat and drink too much to be a productive member of society. I have an insatiable craving to taste, smell and enjoy everything life has in store for me.
I have been bitten by the wanderlust bug and find nothing more thrilling than packing my bag and jumping on a plane to any far flung destination.
A huge thanks for watching. Please subscribe, like and comment. Let us know how we can improve so we can continue producing engaging content.

Have you been converted to taking rail instead of air?
Tim, my family and I always enjoy watching you and your loving sister each Thursday night. Love to you both from your fellow neighbour ❤
I'm so glad you enjoy watching Gogglebox. It is truly such a fun show to be on. Also a huge thank you for following my channel and supporting me.
Rail always feels so relaxing compared to air
Went to London in April, flew down with EasyJet, which was such a hastle. From my flight getting cancelled the day before (and needing to rebook at a DIFFERENT AIRPORT)
To the stress of security, and hustle of a crowded terminal.
Contrast that with our Caledonian sleeper train back home. Spent 2 hours beforehand chilling in the Euston first class lounge, with all the wee snacks and drinks we'd ever need
Leisurely board the train, get to our room, and being greeted by the (Lovely) staff
Head to the club car, have a snack, then head to bed
Then wake up with a lovely bacon roll in the morning as we pull into Glasgow
I couldn't agree with you more. Short hop air travel these days is tantamount to a glorified bus ride. Security, delays, crowds, the list keeps going on.
Thankfully, rail has still held on to some of the magic and majesty of what it was like to travel in comfort and style.
I actually took the Caledonian Sleeper from London to Edinburgh and LOVED every single moment of it. Nothing beats a bacon bap...except for a full Scottish brekkie!
I am in no need of conversion! Already I like trains! No music is a plus for me but I do enjoy your commentaries. Beautiful scenery. Thank you for the video!
In today's world, it's all about the quickest way to get to your destination. People have forgotten how to 'travel'. A journey is more about the whole experience. That is something rail travel offers overs air. You know I LOVE aviation, so this is not me dissing that mode of transport. Just saying that this is a valid alternative if you have the time.
Thanks for your video. We'll be taking the Avanti line first class from Euston up to Glasgow in April but the LNER on the return from Edinburgh to King's Cross in May. It looks like a lovely comfortable trip.
See it say it sort it good liner❤❤🎉🎉
Thank you for this video! It was exactly what I needed, so helpful for my research as I'm planning the same journey with my mother.
Thank you!! I can’t wait ❤
I hope you enjoy your LNER service! It really was top notch service and the F&B offering was absolutely fantastic.
Britain gave us india the trains thku guys❤❤🎉🎉
Same here like both!!!
Let's do a comparison, for similar Hitachi motors.
British Rail Class 800: Audi A6 40TDI
CRH380C: Audi RS6
(btw, "Harmony" CRH380C is based on Siemens Velaro)
I know you like travelling but how do you keep yourself occupied on long trips, if it be planes, trains or buses?
Well, you'd be surprised how much of my travel time is actually taken up by my filming commitments. Setting up cameras, filming B-Roll, commentating, etc, I often don't have much time to enjoy the flight itself. haha
No lounge?
We have nothing this extra in Australia! Nothing within the affordability of the average Aussie anyway
