Yes, Father. Wasn”t that St Bernadette Soubirous said (when asked by a religious sister of hers at Nevers what she was doing reclining on her chair instead of doing chores): “I am serving GOD by being sick” (I am not sure now, but, because of her asthma or her problematic leg). GOD IN HIS WONDER AND LOVING WAY IS EVER SO PATIENT, UNDERSTANDING, AND ACCOMMODATING. HE DOESN’T ASK MUCH, just our love and little ways are enough FOR HIM, for us to acknowledge HIM every (even only in simple stolen moments in our lives) now and again, if our condition or status take most of our time in a day. I couldn’t thank HIM ENOUGH for bringing me into this world 75 years ago, to marvel HIS CREATION/CREATURES, through which to know HIM better, love HIM, and serve HIM with what little, or much, we have!
Thank you 🙏 so very much for your sharing and for your encouragement May God continue to bless and strengthen you in all you do through Christ Jesus. Amen 👏💥
Father! I really appreciate the instruction on this saint (and all the other instructions as well). But please stay away from European history. Neumann was not Czech. He was a German-speaking Bohemian whose home country at that for centuries had been part of the Holy Roman Empire of German Nations and then the Habsburg Austro-Hungarian Empire. Also, in the mid-1800's nobody emigrated from Europe because of the Napoleonic Wars - rather because of famine and the (failed) liberal revolutions. Or because of successful liberal revolutions... ;-) God bless Europe and America!
Thank you Father ,I m so inspired by your teaching and your work
Thank you for this Beautiful teaching! God Bless and protect you and your loved ones always 🙏🩵❤️🦋
I miss you, Father. Where have you been? Please do more Saints homilies. You always make me see the side of a saint that I never know. God bless you.

Great homily thanks
I’m in Worcester diocese near ocean city Maryland. Closest church is one dedicated to St. Neumann.
Thank you!
I went to the St Alphonsus (Baltimore, MD) mentioned in the homily today. It also coincided with the completion of my First Fridays!
I’ll be there tomorrow.

To God be the glory

I think there is a story of St. John Neumann appearing as a child, wearing vintage clothing, performing a miracle in a modern hospital.
Woah😮! ❤❤

Someone who would consider the location of The National Shrine St. Alphonsus Liguori to be a ghetto doesn't get out much.
All great, but in 1811, it was Czech Kingdom. Czech Republic was established in 1993.
Ah, yes. Was it part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire? It was called Bohemia. The Hapsburg Empire?
@elizabethdarley8646 no, Austro-Hungarian Empire was established in 1867. The Kingdom was part of the Hapsburg lands.
@@bolorek8307 Ah, I see. In the SSPX we have blood members of the old Habsburg family who are SSPX priests today 🙏
@@elizabethdarley8646 and this is significant ?
Why was it Czech, called Bohemia?
