this is for me.yesterday night i was crying in bed and offerred my scars and wounds of my past sins to mary. I asked her to pray for the healing of my wounded heart..
One must always look forward with hope and confidence and trust that God is compassionate on our human weakness and frailty, we are also called to forgive ourselves for our past life, and leave it in the past and trust in God's mercy. The devil wants us to be in anxieties and worry, we must accept the peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ and try to keep that peace in our hearts.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Such a BEAUTIFUL READ! Thank you so much, Fr.!! Saint Francis de Sales, pray for us to follow your words of blessed wisdom from The Holy Spirit, through The Sacred Heart Of Jesus amen. ❤
I was praying the Divine Office including the Office of readings that was dedicated to Saint Francis de sales. And my question is, how can I live out my faith around people who don't believe as I do? Should I be a good example? Whatever answer I get, hopefully the answer itself will helpful and encouraging. Saint Francis De Sales, pray for us. Amen.
In the Byzantine Tradition, the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord has a post-Festal period of 7-9 days (depending on where it falls in the Pre-Lenten period). The only time it might not have a post-Festal period is if the Presentation of Our Lord fell on Cheesefare Sunday ( = Quinquagesima on the TL calendar). It would still have a leave-taking (octave) because that would fall on the First Sunday of the Great Fast. Rejoice, Virgin Mother of God, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Rejoice also, you just elder Simeon, for you have received in your embrace the Redeemer of our souls, who grants us resurrection. Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord, Troparion, Tone 1
You must not have a Catholic Bible. Catholics use bibles translated from the Septuagint (Greek and Hebrew original) into the Latin vulgate. There are significant differences between the Catholic and Protestant bibles.
Douay-Rheims Bible is the Catholic Bible. You must be looking at a protestant Bible that is lacking of 7 books found in the Original, first English translation of the Bible from Latin --> Douay-Rheims. PAX!
It is confusing...in my Douhay Rheims after verse 21, Psalm 9 continues with verse 1 and the notation, 'psalm 10 according to the Hebrews '. From there, the referenced verse is 17. Not 38....but if you continue to count verses from 9:21 with consecutive numbers, you arrive at referenced 9:38, bingo. ❤PAX❤

Magdalene was still attached though even at the Resurrection.
Why is there no octave for a double feast Purification|Presentation?

Hate to be a stickler but there is no Psalm 9:38 mentioned at 2:28.
Psalm, 9:38 The Lord hath heard the desire of the poor: thy ear hath heard the preparation of their heart
