- I consider this my signature soap, iconic of the beautiful Black Hills where we live. However, I feel like I haven't quite captured it yet! Stay tuned for version 5 where I think I'll get it right. I learned a LOT from this soapmaking experiment and think you might too! This is completely hand designed and all natural.

The recipe I used: Enter into soapcalc.net for your size mold.
1.7:1 distilled water:lye ratio, 5% superfat
35% olive oil
32% coconut oil
10% shea butter
10% cocoa butter
8% avocado oil
5% castor oil
1 tsp / lb of oils sodium lactate (optional to help harden bar)
Earth woodsy essential oil blend: 35% cedarwood, 10% vetiver, 25% pine, 10% balsam fir, 10% kunzea (or do more pine), 10% juniper - other ratios would work or omit anything you don't have or like
Natural Colorants and botanicals:
ground/tree trunks: Bentonite clay (and some cocoa powder would be good... just a small amount)
pine trees: green clay & spinach powder (green tea powder or something darker green would be good) - also a bit of blended rosemary needles
Hills layer: charcoal
sky layer: indigo (small amount)
Note: I make these videos for your entertainment (and my own). Please make sure you understand safe handling of lye (sodium hydroxide) before attempting any soapmaking projects. I am not responsible for the results of your soap making.

We have one of the previous versions of this soap and love the smell! Definitely takes you out to the woods and pine forest.
I'm glad you like it! Thanks for buying one and trying it!!
Do you bake bread? I think we bought bread from you this summer. Are you baking now? If so how do we contact you. Love your soap!
Yes I'm the one with the bread :)
