I’m trying to upgrade my 2005 base model regular cab Silverado. It was my Grandpa’s farm truck. I’m using 2007 badges and 2007 aluminum OEM wheels on it. That’s because my late dad once owned a 2007 LTZ Silverado. My truck doesn’t even have carpet or a fold down console in the interior, but it will. I just ordered some new headlights and taillights for mine. Although, I picked the “black surrounded” headlights and the “smoked” taillights. I’m inspired by this video. My truck will not be the same after the wheels and lights are upgraded. It amazes me what’s possible to get done with just a mail order makeover. My grandpa would not buy a vehicle for any reason but use on his farm. I think that I can make it mine by just buying a few things and installing them myself. I have already bought everything I want, but the carpet and the radio. Again, thank you for the inspiration and another great video.
@@TWAMotorsports Thanks. I also want to use the 2007 “classic” hood and grille, but that’s only if I can find a good used hood that is the same color as my truck. That’s where the easy part ends. But since my truck is white, the most common color on the road, maybe it won’t be impossible. I’ve just had to spend the money slowly and carefully to find the things I’ve gotten so far.
I bought an 05 Avalanche bumper after I hit a deer. It had factory fog lights, and my 03 Silverado was an LS, so it didn't have fog lights. Thanks to others on TH-cam, it was fairly easy to add the harness to my fuse panel and add a fog light switch. The fuse was wired already in the plug to the back of the cargo light connector and when I bought the fog / cargo combo switch, the fog light dash switch was connected automatically to the fuse in the fuse panel. I used Sea Light 360° fog lights. I'm now ordering new lights like you did. And I'll be be putting Sea Light bulbs in them too. Thanks to you, I got a preview of how they will look!
I used those Sealight LEDs in my 97 Suburban in Spyder glass housings... They were about 'twice' the brightness of the OEM bulbs. I later rewired the headlights to use all four bulbs in the 'bright' mode... I now have a set in my '04 'cat-eye', I added the all-on mode for my brights for all of the country driving.
@@TWAMotorsports A lot of the LEDs have a big fan/heat-sink that will not fit without modifying the core support, which is why I chose the 'Sealight' fanless set (like the set you used). IMO Halogen bulbs are only to be used until they can be replaced with LED.
Funny thing is, I ordered new LED bulbs for my 06 Silverado to install after it's painted. Once you said the better bulbs have a set screw to adjust, I had to check my kit...looks like I ordered the exact same brand! Glad to hear you're happy with them.
Used those LED’s on my 08 Tahoe and was super impressed! Did lots of research and for a cheaper budget set of lights…. Total win! Over a year and still impressed. Couldn’t find a Fog Led from them at the time and had to use another brand, but everything worked well together and the amount of visibility I gained on Low beam alone, Best money I ever spent. Slammed my 08 LTZ hoe & living in the country driving home at night from UPS…. I can see all the Deer, Skunks and other night time Lowered truck issues in the road. Thanks for the killer content, killer in-depth installs and doing kool things to trucks. Love to see you KO the red truck and back to the TA and maybe toss in Some kool Shop mods, work bench, even a little garage art for the walls. Keep on Busting them knuckles bro! Laterz!
I just did the same thing to my 03 Silverado-my old headlights looked just like yours lol. I ended up putting in AUXITO 9005 9006 LED’s from Amazon for under $70 for all four lights. What a HUGE DIFFERENCE! What an easy upgrade that only takes about 10 minutes!
I put some Fahren LEDs in my truck last December, the beam pattern is great, they are super bright and not super expensive for both the high and lows. they've been working great for about 11 months now. the ONLY issue I had is that I had to adjust 3 of them, but it's really easy. And they don't have the little end on them that obstructs the light.
@@TWAMotorsports yeah I highly recommend them, also thank you for the tip on painting the radiator support. I painted mine matte black and it definitely made the front end look better.
Travis, truck is looking awesome as usual, don't understand why so many people run around with their trucks/cars headlights/taillights totally oxidized where they are just a blur of light, if I had an older truck that would be the first upgrade i would make, it makes a huge difference
Good Thursday evening Travis. I'm just getting home from work and tuning in on my big screen tv with surround sound.. man it looks beautiful outside in Missouri by the looks of your video 🇺🇲

Quick question....I have the EXACT same truck and everytime I try to purchase what you have linked from Amazon, they always say it doesn't fit my truck?! 😢 confused as hell...😮 Can you put an amber LED in an amber lense?!
I am VERY curious about the process of adding fog lights into a silverado that never had them. Got a similar situation coming up in the near future. 06 silverado, base model, that never had any but I want to add some.
Yeah. Travis is the man. I added fog lights on my 13 model. The wiring from the switch to the main fuse panel under the hood was already there. I bought a kit that had the lights and wiring from the fuse panel to the lights. I had to take the fuse panel loose ( lever locks) and put a pinned wire in the panel. You will also need a light switch with the fog light option.
@@TWAMotorsports can you please do one and try to see if it’s possible to use the oem switch that would come with the truck had it come originally with the truck
Your daily is looking good. I can't beleave how bad those other lights were. I'm I the only one that misses glass lights. Lol. Light sets would cost 600 bucks
Hey man, i have an 03 ss. Im looking to get better bulbs. Looking into led. What do you recommend now since its 2 years out from when this video was made. Thanks!

Way cleaner look now!
