How to make a bed for the dog from a used car tire

Made a bed of an old car tire for our Chihuahua, here I show how I did it. Now it just remains that the dogs get used to the bed and start using it. This one will stand out in the yard.

Could not afford $35 for a sheet of plywood. We drilled 8 holes to wrap nylon cord in the bottom to keep the dog bed from falling out. They got the cardboard wet and it fell apart. Thank you for the very informative details, such as getting the right tools and the trouble you had too!

You just gave me and idea thank you, you can even cover it on top with another tire make a bigger dog house with it

These tires can be difficult to cut, but there are so many things you can use them for.
