For anyone reading this, and you're a fan of Billy Crystal and never watched Running Scared, please do. It's a hilarious buddy cop comedy with Gregory Hines. I highly recommend.
The skit where Sid Ceasar is speaking German and getting dressed like he's German general and then he walks outside and raises his hand and yells "Taxi" and you realize he was a doorman was my favorite😂
Love Billy. He is one of my favorites. He is naturally funny, very quick witted and very versatile actor I ever seen. His one man show, 700 Sundays that talks about his life gave me tears. He is truly gifted.
SO GLAD Billy is having a "career resurgence"! He's always been one of my faves... he's friggin hilarious -- so very quick witted! And he looks AWESOME! I read some early reviews of his new show on AppleTV and they aren't "great"... but I'm still gonna watch!
Few have had success in so many areas. Nearly the only other I can think of is Bob Hope. #1 vaudeville, Broadway, radio, movies, TV, books, Oscar host 19 times, even a #1 single on the Billboard charts (Buttons and Bows).
Billy Crystal should do a one-man show telling stories and jokes about his life and career. His timing is impeccable and his soothing voice a balm for our times.
@toozeeka Yes, it is called 700 Sundays. It is an exceptional one man play. I seen it on Netflix. Any Billy Fan will be a fan of this. It covers his life, and it makes you laugh and cry. I recommend watching this special. He is the best storyteller I have ever seen. He has seen and heard so much in life it's incredible.
It would be to everyone’s benefit to acquaint themselves with Billy’s heroes, those who inspired him. Everything comes from somewhere and the more in-depth one’s understanding the greater the appreciation. Life is a continual chain and I feel sorry for anyone who thinks it has a beginning and an end that revolves around them. The big picture is what is important and it is how we teach.
Not for nothing but the block that record shop was on, it's actually really easy to find because right at the end of the block, at 42nd and Lex, is a building that's easy to find. Fella named Chrysler built it some years back, most of the cabbies know where it's at
"It's like a Tic-Tac...only BEER!" People have said it already, but even the ads are worth listening to on this podcast if only for the manic, smart-dumb moments like that.
Billy Crystal wants to perform Fantastic Beasts, Billy Crystal is going to be in James Bond 007, Billy Crystal is gonna be in PAW Patrol: The Third Movie and Billy Crystal is going to appeared on 28 Years Later (2025)
Conan, what are you doing man? You need to give us time to recover. Pacino, Billy, Jon, ... in a few weeks? Man, i' m still listening Pacino for 10th time. Hold your horses. Give us some more common people for a month. Uff.
They have to pay the bills somehow. Everyone in that room (including the people you don't see) plus paying for the room itself. No commercials = no podcast.
@@kowalski5599it's a way of forcing their paid ads into a platform that also has ads (YT). It discourages watching on this platform in favor of another where it's faster and easier to skip the ads. Tone of the ad segment as upbeat, loud, and hyper in middle of a mellow talking segment is very shockjock and not well implemented. Also, you're not their mom. It's a safe space for feedback.
I was hopeful, but now I'm losing it because of the dog whistling for physical violence against women. It's the "mixed" couples. Which is more "persuasive"? "If she wins, I'm gonna knock the crap out of you." "If you love me, you'll skip voting for him."

Not to be confused with the Paul Walker Thriller of the same name 😂
They don't paay me noo mooore.
I re-watched as a grownup/adult last year... totally agree! Side note: Billy's bod was kinda hot in that movie! 😉
Agreed. They had such good chemistry together. If there was ever a movie where I would have loved a sequel, Running Scared is it.
@@Bearded_Toy_Guy great cast of 80s actors too

City Slickers was my favorite of his movies growing up. Both 1 and 2 I must’ve seen 50x.
Loved running scared. RIP Gregory.

@bridgettewilliams27 It's a pretty well known line I merely repeated

Steve Martin is another
“There’s a difference between being all dead…and slightly alive.”
That's true, he was only mostly dead.
Love Billy Crystal always. So talented as an actor and comedian ❤ hysterical.
Class act .👍
on the Miller Lite commercial -- I love it when Conan does old timey speak: "I prefer MY sporting team! No, I prefer the other sporting team!" LOL
‘You look mahvelous.’
Cool it with the antisemitic remarks
Yeah... Be Cool... antisemantics may lead to becoming a skilled linguist. I am, also
very popular with girls.

He has. I think it's called 7 Sundays or something like that

Billy Crystal is a legend. He never made a bad movie
he has a few bad movies.
Damn. What a great story teller and even quicker comedy mind

I can't believe Billy only did one season of SNL. Seems like he did more. He did so much.
1:45 same time he met Weird Al for the first time!
His voice sounds so much better now.
That miller light ad was even fun to watch. Great guest! Seen him somewhere before
2:42 I'm supposed to be heading to sleep abd this cracked me up😂 Now I gotta watch the whole video 😂
Luv ya Bill!🎉❤
Uncle Goopy is one of the best sketches ever. I laugh so hard that I cry every time!
Billy lookin like rob reiner in the thumbnail. Lol. 😮

That thriller series on Apple TV he is doing, _Before_ is not what one would expect either. Continuing to reinvent himself at every age.
This is great 😂😂😂
Somebody needs to arrange a play date for adults.
We do. We call it swinging.
@@paradoxparade1 Conan and Billy at a swingers party, oy vey
The best part of this pod is when conan interviews himself. Nice for him to invite billy to watch
"Hellooooo." - Billy Crystal, City Slickers
Holy guacamole, Jack Parr?! Haven't thought about that show for years! Also I loved Billy Crystal in Soap. Hilarious stuff
😂 legend
Doyers fan, Go Dodgers let’s sweep tonight, condolences on your Yanks, Billy!

Billy Crystal is THAT guy. Top 5 actors of all time
Never been this early before :)
He looks exactly like Richard Dreyfus.
Like anybody in that building drinks Miller Light…
Miller: "Ding dong! Miller Lite here!"
Me: "We don't take kindly to yer types round here. You can just git out!"
👍🏻
$380 with or without tax dang that's almost a month's pay where I come from
Oh No!what did you do,did you get fired!Billy did you forget your wallet.
He'll always be the annoying mime ("Mime is money!") from Spinal Tap to me. Unforgivably bad...
This Halloween pumpkin old face should model Calvin Klein underwear
You know what I love Sona? Aggressive and instant ads out of place that ruin the flow of the interview and enjoyment of the thing

Side kick cackle chick...her cackle validates the "comedy" aspect of the nod-cast.
Billy Crystal, Jerry Seinfeld and Woody Allen are some the dullest comedians of our modern era.
Interesting choices, almost as if they have something in common you probably don't like about them...
