Its crazy that anyone has not heard of black thought. Despite generation, dude is timeless. I give you a pass, but you NEED to go back and listen to everything from the roots. Hip Hop has so many artists that were LITERALLY brought to us by The Roots. Almost everyone during the Neo Soul era owes a debt to the Roots.
