My sister has 4 kids so when they shop at Costco, nothing gets stored in the freezer; it all just gets eaten right away! But for my husband and me, we shop and then freeze and portion the food out like you. I love their large packs of smoked salmon/lox. I roll it up with cream cheese and cucumber. It’s SO much cheaper to buy it at Costco than a regular grocery.

I love going to Costco! I can't believe Costco Japan still has the combo pizza! I'm in Los Angeles and they took away the combo pizza along with other menu items. It used to be my favorite, I'm glad you're still able to enjoy it! The iron thing you mentioned is definitely true. I am also anemic and that causes fatigue so if you're supplementing, it will definitely boost up your energy. The ajo soup you mentioned literally translates to garlic soup! Ajo means garlic in Spanish. Loved the cat in the end!
My mom lives in Los Angeles county, in Gardena and she goes to the Costco in El Segundo and Torrance.. she loves the pizza! Lol.. I haven’t been to Costco in such a long time but I know they make good pizza. Just one slice is big. It’s just me and my husband (we live in the Central Valley) but Costco is close by to my neighborhood, I never think of shopping there since it’s just two but I just might consider becoming a member! 😁
Costco has the best pizza in the whole world, especially the combo. A slice of combo and a diet coke make my day. A slice of cheese pizza will do just fine if they took off the combo. Me not picky.

Since I'm in Europe it's so easy to find these ingredients and they're actually cheap here, but turning the tables, Japanese ingredients are crazy expensive here in comparison - so it all evens out 😉 All those sakura trees make Japanese spring look so special, no matter the weather. Fill mushrooms with Boursin and bake in the oven….simple and yummy. You were drinking my favourite ginger beer. Tip: I leave a pretty glass on my coffee machine to catch the drips…easier than cleaning the drip tray.

As for Costco (or any bulk store like Sanwa, Sam’s, B.J.’s or etc.) for me as an older, single female, let me tell you… that stores like those have saved my bacon 🥓 (life) and kept money in my wallet (saving it) in so many ways. They let me keep my cupboards, refrigerators, freezers and cabinets full. So I have no qualms about ‘pinching a penny or making it scream’ (which means: saving a great amount of my hard earned money; past and present) nor buying bulk or feeling guilty ‘about having a bit extra’ on hand, for myself (mostly) or helping out a neighbor (young or elderly) and another family too. With inflation these days, I get so glad when I plan ahead. (Your video just reminded me to pull out that sock-eye salmon 🍣 I have cut up in the deep freezer for tomorrow’s lunch !🍱 🥰) As for your iron levels being a bit low… sometimes caffeine will draw essential iron out of your blood.🩸 So if you love coffee it would probably be best to keep it low (since it seems women are more affected by anemia than men are) or drink decaf for awhile and try to keep your b-12 (use a sublingual form of methylcobalamin; around 2,500 to 5,000 mcg a day, which goes under your tongue) on target for about 30 to 60 days. Then get your iron levels checked again: it could also be a bit of malabsorption, so get this checked too, if possible. My niece thought because she was younger, it could not happen to her but malabsorption did (a really great specialist had got her back on track) so now she includes a b-12 supplement daily. I always love your videos; I always learn something from them, new, and I wish you a happy and safe Easter 🐣 in advance. 😇

We just joined Costco last month and find many items we want to try. Boursin garlic and herb soft cheese is great when added to mashed potatoes. I know you like different dishes so I suggest Shakshuka for one. It is north African and it is eggs poached in a spicy tomato sauce. I found the recipe on the internet so I hope you can find it. It is very good.

I was mostly amazed by the price of the feta which is almost like it is in Greece now ... She bought it for about 15+ euro per kilo and in Greece atm its 13+euro per kilo! Imagine that! That alone can show how the economy is messed up in Greece ... Standard salary is up to 670 euro per month net, at this day today ik Greece and we are asked to live a life that costs way more higher than 1500 per month! Imagine that for a second!

So surprised to see Greek feta sold in Japan! Your greek salad is pure perfection! (I am Greek). My favourite greek recipe : feta in pieces with 2 eggs. It can be done fried or in oven. Kind regards from sunny Athens
Feta cheese is supposed to be in block form? I've only ever seen it crumbled! (I'm an American, so... Salad are usually an afterthought)
Fill mushrooms with Boursin and bake in the oven….simple and yummy.

As for Costco (or any bulk store like Sanwa, Sam’s, B.J.’s or etc.) for me as an older, single female, let me tell you… that stores like those have saved my bacon 🥓 (life) and kept money in my wallet (saving it) in so many ways. They let me keep my cupboards, refrigerators, freezers and cabinets full. So I have no qualms about ‘pinching a penny or making it scream’ (which means: saving a great amount of my hard earned money; past and present) nor buying bulk or feeling guilty ‘about having a bit extra’ on hand, for myself (mostly) or helping out a neighbor (young or elderly) and another family too. With inflation these days, I get so glad when I plan ahead. (Your video just reminded me to pull out that sock-eye salmon 🍣 I have cut up in the deep freezer for tomorrow’s lunch !🍱 🥰) As for your iron levels being a bit low… sometimes caffeine will draw essential iron out of your blood.🩸 So if you love coffee it would probably be best to keep it low (since it seems women are more affected by anemia than men are) or drink decaf for awhile and try to keep your b-12 (use a sublingual form of methylcobalamin; around 2,500 to 5,000 mcg a day, which goes under your tongue) on target for about 30 to 60 days. Then get your iron levels checked again: it could also be a bit of malabsorption, so get this checked too, if possible. My niece thought because she was younger, it could not happen to her but malabsorption did (a really great specialist had got her back on track) so now she includes a b-12 supplement daily. I always love your videos; I always learn something from them, new, and I wish you a happy and safe Easter 🐣 in advance. 😇

We just joined Costco last month and find many items we want to try. Boursin garlic and herb soft cheese is great when added to mashed potatoes. I know you like different dishes so I suggest Shakshuka for one. It is north African and it is eggs poached in a spicy tomato sauce. I found the recipe on the internet so I hope you can find it. It is very good.

I was mostly amazed by the price of the feta which is almost like it is in Greece now ... She bought it for about 15+ euro per kilo and in Greece atm its 13+euro per kilo! Imagine that! That alone can show how the economy is messed up in Greece ... Standard salary is up to 670 euro per month net, at this day today ik Greece and we are asked to live a life that costs way more higher than 1500 per month! Imagine that for a second!
