They deserve those 63 daesangs. I think they got those awards and the success because its not only the effort of ARMYs but what Bang PD taught them. He told them not to measure themselves as artists on the results or the awards they get, but the heart they put in their music and craft. Because if they measure their success based on awards, then their music would’ve sound fake. Basically, you’re just creating something just for the sake of awards and not for the sake of creating. One of the reasons I love these boys. Doing it for the art and for the fans 💜

Just recently after their LA concerts, Taehyung and Hobi spent a few days in Hawaii with their families, and nobody knew they were there until they posted the pics themselves after leaving! Same for Namjoon who went to museums all over the US, nobody who spotted them said anything until after the boys posted, it was amazing.
Tae even posted on weverse (in english!) to thank everyone: "Thank you ARMY for pretending not to know and being considerate so that I can travel more confortably in Hawaii and the airport💜 love u"

Makeup is art, it has no gender, no boundaries. Love how the members changed the perception of masculinity. They didn't conform to what the West dictates as beautiful or masculine. They stayed true to who they are, their culture and I think that's one of the reasons why they won the world over 💜

i'm glad a lot of the boys had their privacy generally respected (from what i can tell) when they recently did their 4 day show over here in america
no one disturbed jin at six flags when he went and a lot of the boys after the concerts vacationed here and people respected their privacy while they were on vacation
army's would even see them but not go up to them and make a huge fuss so there wouldn't be an incident

as a fan from 2016, I can say that ARMY as a fandom (toxic kids not included) have matured a lot. We do projects to protect their privacy on airports such as the purple ribbon project, team up to sue stalkers/sasaengs, and recently taehyung even thanked the fandom for respecting his privacy during his vacation in hawaii. We are well aware that the boys would rather want us to pretend that we don't know them during their personal vacations and how much they hate being mobbed
Yes exactly, one thing I have noticed is that only army speak out about these kinds of issue, especially respecting their boundaries. Like literally I have never encountered a fandom that regularly advise each other that when they come across BTS during their private schedule, pretend you didn't and walk the opposite direction. We're also the only fandom that discourages going to the airport for BTS, even shaming those who spread pictures from fansites who go to the airport to take pics of them, when their flight schedules are private.

Yes,also while that reporters( and other like them) blame BTS at plagiarism and name them as "plagiators boys",other people and other company(like SM Ent) plagiarize BTS clips and music and also plagiarize politics of BTS's label,do almost the same content like Big Hit Music label and their company(for example:their show "In The Soop")

That artist had worked with YG before and revealed later that it was YG staff who brought up the similarity to him, so he made a fuss about it. Even though it's really all just very obviously inspired by the last supper and that's as far as the similarities went between BST and his art piece (basically a long table with food). This is also one of the reasons you'll never catch me supporting YG artists (or SM but that's another story). There's been one too many instances of that company trying to defame BTS and mediaplaying things that I could never support that kind of business.

Actually BTS members always nice to the fans but the incident in Indonesia I can understand why Jin acted that way. The whole production team was delayed and really had difficult time because of him alone while waiting and tried to protect him. I was a teenager in the 80s. Glam rock was my thing & I loved that the men in the bands that I listened to wore makeup. As stated by @JC on this thread: "Makeup is art, it has no gender, no boundaries." Perfect statement. David Bowie, Alice Cooper, New York Dolls, and more, are great examples, as are many other musicians from the past. I have always loved when men wore makeup. I'm ARMY, I love BTS & I don't care if they wear makeup or not. They're beautiful either way. They are also great role models for anyone of any age. I found them during Covid & they helped me smile & feel better about the future. And I am so grateful for them at this time. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!

If I remember correctly, the plagiarism they were talking about wasn't even about BTS's music, but about the Wings album cover looking similar or something(I'm sure other ARMYs can tell you guys more). And it was so disrespectful to bring that up at a press conference for a whole different album!

That whole "french artist claimed plagarism" was started in SK the artist himself never said that and cleared the whole thing up and that journalist is connected to one of the agencies that tried to suppress BTS and always try to throw shade. The answer I always give about the make-up is the first people to ever wear make-up were men in egypt so why do women think they have the right to be critical, also the culture in Sk is different its part of their culture and also the K-pop industry that Idols wear make-up. I would be happy just to see them in passing I would never go to the airport or other places or ever invade their personal space, people need to let them breathe. The thing with desangs is now they are complaining cos we win just about all of em rofl. The desangs in SK are based on fan votes, sales and streams so basically people earn them. Very few are voted on by judges. If Jimin misses one note while dancing super hard they throw that "Jimin cant sing while dancing " stuff at him its so bogus, also he had very little training and also gives 110% to his dancing over the years he has improved out of sight and has much more stability.
I love the amount of time and energy yall use to familiarize yourselves with a topic. And I also love y’all for recognizing their struggles and continuing to be fair and having our guys backs. Loooooooooveeeeeee it. They deserve the whole world based upon their work ethic alone; much less their talent which continues to evolve and grow as they mature and strive to always show us their best side. They really do. i remember the jimin one , it was blackpink fans who said that jimin can't sing while dancing and to prove their statement they tweeted video of one jimin performance of old concert. but the song he was dancing was 1 hour within the concert. they were already performing since 1 hour so its common to have breathing issue. well its better to hear jimin's actual breathy voice that those who lip sync.

Yess stage makeup is a huge thing!! Lights on stage wash you out, so you have to put on heavier makeup to be able to be seen! And then when it comes to smaller events, your usual stage makeup just less extreme is normal! (From my experience!)
I think the chaotic part where fans rushing to Jin part is from INDONESIA i think. He shoot for something that time.

That fansite that was taking pictures of V and he pointed his phone at them tried to get V on charges of invading her privacy (which is ridiculous given she was taking pictures of him) but V didn't even have his camera on her. He used to front camera so it was pictures of himself. Like, what a gentleman even in an awful situation 💜
Just wanna say that fansites and sasaengs are different fansites are mainly stalkers(Paparazzi) and sasaengs are mainly doing anything to get their attention woukd poison,attack,pull them. Basically ppl that don't love themselves which many ppl don't get because they are close minded and never try to get into their place as being more of a neutral between that arguments. Artists wearing makeup not limited to BTS or other Koop groups. Many Western artists wear makeup all the times, from Elton John, David Bowie, Boy George, George Michaels, Duran Duran to more current artists like Adam Lambert. Lil Nas X, Maneskin just to name a few. However I can bet none of them received the same kind of welcome remarks when they walked into an award show. I'm glad to see you guys got upset for BTS too.

The mob situation luckily isn't common amongst armys. Typically armys understand that BTS should be left alone in public especially in their down time. When they went on vacation recently no one even knew where they were until the boys posted about it themselves because even though armys saw them, no one approached them or said anything about seeing them until they were home.
I love how they make it seem like eww Asian men and they wear makeup ugh last time checked half of the people in the US wear makeup, news reporters, musicians, actors, models and they look good. Who wants to be somewhere with a ton of people with oily skin like no they use skincare and they also wear makeup because that's generally what celebs do.
Wearing makeup doesn't make you a girl, have a high pitched voice or being pretty doesn't make you any manly just like women having muscles or a sharp jawline doesn't make them a man.
Say what you want but BTS still look better than many people and that's with and without makeup on the boys

At the end of the day how would you feel if it were reversed and you were with your loved ones or just waking up .
There are reasons why celebs react the way they do to paparazzi , when you have cameras shoved in your face, family mbers or other regular people being pushed trampled over and hit just because they want to get attention and take pictures.
Miley Cyrus mom was pushed by a camera man and she went off on him, Kanye, Demi, Justin were all disrespected by paparazzi, Britney, Paris, Lindsey, Amanda were exploited and manipulated, Tobey was disrespected all by paparazzi.
It is not okay, I understand wanting to get the scoop or make money but like y'all have a family married with kids yet don't seem to are when you show no respect or privacy for those who have kids.
Why are you sexualizing kids, why are you bashing children or comparing people and talking about how people look.
People being body shamed, looks ar being talked about like they don't already have a lot on their plate to deal with on a daily and here people come making things worse for them.
Those awards are kind of like a Grammy tony Oscar or Emmy award as of 2022 they have more than 40, not to mention how many awards they win at award shows anywhere from 2 to 9 in total

They look pretty similar without makeup as with make up. Just a slightly different skin tone, color on the lips and around the eyes. It's not a big deal
They haven't gone to these countries for a while for a reason, I don't mean to be rude to people from certain countries but come on. You have to respect them
