  • First episode of 2025 finds me sitting with a good friend of mine from high school, Jasmine Sims, MS, LPC. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is currently working on her Ph.D in Counselor Education. She is the 2nd woman to join DCWT as a guest, and I'm glad I invited her because we had a great conversation. We discussed the roles that fathers play in mental health, building trust with our children, trauma informed parenting, signs to look for in struggling children, and much more.

Phenomenal episode. Very insightful and positive. I love hearing from a young mental health professional, I feel like some time all we see if older folks speaking on mental health or the taboo it was. Great seeing a peer speak on relatable topics

What an amazing listen! It’s so encouraging to hear from a profession in the field, who can shed light on such a sensitive topic in a way that’s familiar and approachable! Listening to the episode was a pleasure!

Great episode! Jasmine is my college in my doctoral program and is just as excellent in the counseling space and classroom!
This episode also shows that we need black fathers raising their kids with grace and intentionality!
This wasn’t a podcast, this was therapy!
    Great great episode!
