We ordered 10 turkeys they spent 21 hours at the first postal facility, were to us in 2days but there was no food, water, heat pad,no foam or anything to help them stay warm n healthy. In 48hours we have lost 4. 1 in a few hours the rest gradual but they seemed ok upon unboxing. They were eating n drinking...curious the average loss per 48hr period after delivery?
It's Friday 5oclock my chics have been in transit for about 65 hours not feeling real confident... Post office doesn't know any more than I can find on line. Domino's has better tracking info. 😔
@@marsalafamilyfarm6292 sadly one made it for about 8 hours , I thought I had nursed her back but she didn't make it .I postponed shipping till March when weather warms up. Hopefully will go better.
@@mazurhighpoint7194 so sorry for your loss but I have to say, The postal service killed all of my meat chickens, Not happy at all! The postal services excuse is not acceptable! Blaming "Covid" for everything has become ridiculous 💔 Again, The Hatchery is of no blame
Just found out they shipped my order passed close of business on A Wednesday. Post Offices here do NOT OPEN ON Saturday. So I just paid for 10 dead chicks to be available for pickup Monday.
It took 2 days. We notified the post office they were coming and they called when they arrived in the morning. We have good luck with shipped birds in most circumstances. Thanks for watching.
No, I order all my birds from Hoover Hatchery. If my chicks are born one day they are in the mail the next and to me by the end of that 2nd day or the early morning of the 3rd day.

We have lost birds in the past after delivery. Usually 5-10% death rate. Turkey are more sensitive than most chicks though. Good luck!

OMG! I am so sorry. They usually let you select shipment dates. Did they happen to make it at all or did they send replacement?

I just got mine today. 10 egg layers assorted and 5 meat birds. Problem is I have no idea which are the meat birds. Any advice?
Sorry I am so late to respond. The meat birds are yellow and will grow at a very fast rate!
