- My reaction to Italy's Eurovision 2020 entry Diodato "Fai Rumore"
Italy are my favourite country in Eurovision so I have big hopes! Do you think they could win the 2020 contest? They usually have a good chance. What's your favourite Italy Eurovision song? I love so many of them so would be interested to hear!

italian is very similar to english many words
The song is very well constructed, at the beginning there is an inner fight ( rumore ) because the author refuses to accept the abscence of the other , but at the end as he accepts this absence , this fight becomes a delicious memory.
There is a beautiful film ( but very hard to view ) that explains this human phenomenon. " Jacob’s Ladder" During the film the main actor fights his demons, but when he accepts the reality at the end of the film, these demons turn into angels.
The song is psychologically perfect. Everything is perfect, there are only those who do not understand the human soul who criticize.There are no fireworks, it’s true, it’s a walk, it’s also true, it’s not made to put you in the spotlight, it’s made to tell an event in a perfect way and universal. The lyrics are beautiful too

I appreciate your focus on musicality, but a song is nothing without the lyrics.... and the store in this song truly builds up the music. I find myself translating ALL the Italian songs during Sanremo because Italians truly love their lyrics!

about the video, after analyzing different interpretatons, I've come to the conclusion that when he sings "You make noise" he does it to his feminine part. the woman you see in the video is his ego and what he deeply hopes to become one day. The final reunion, after the many contact refusals is symbolizing his final choice. Orange and blue are the archaic symbols of femininity and masculinity. If you read it this way, the video will be much clearer. The final embrace embodies both colours.

This is such a brilliant song. However, my concern is that the song has to be shortened by almost 45 sec. In 2018 the Italians showed us, how NOT to do it. Occidentali's Karma, a fantastic song in its original version, was cut up in an almost brutal way, which totally destroyed the structure of the song.
I agree but I think there is space with this. yes 2018 was a disaster in editing, ruined the song big shame. I hope they get it right and maybe let the artist make the decisions. it is still the only song which i think has a winners vibe
