No that's WWAN slot, meant for 4G LTE module. You can see wifi module is installed on another slot located on its left. We are not loosing any capabilities.
@@shyamp6543 Are you using L460 as well? Make sure it is not having any cache SSD installed on this slot. There are few model with windows comes with small size SSD for cache in this slot.

I have used max 256 GB drive, although it should support 1 TB drive but I would recommend testing the drive capacity support before buying the drive.

I can see one empty WWAN slot in t460, it should work just like L460. Just check with a spare ssd if possible before buying any.

You need to change the boot drive from BIOS setting or from boot menu.

No, Max you can use 2242. You may try 2.5 inch ssd adapter for your m.2 2280 ssd
