imagine you are in your house and your toster out of nowhere became sentient and start talking about toster right and not making toasts. then you are the bad guy because you want to reset it because you want your toast.
@Doronsmovies I think the point he was trying to make is why should the creator care that much about its creation? We are taking ourselves too seriously by believing the titans are bad just because they tried to wipe out their creation when it no longer served its purpose, much like you would toss out electronics that no longer work.
@@Doronsmoviesyeah they may not be toasters but they are things created for a purpose. Most businesses stop production on a product not working the way they intend especially if it’s not beneficial for the creator. All I know in life is bread should be toasted. I make something that’s sole purpose is that. It doesn’t it perfectly for years then just stops one day and starts making apple juice. I like apple juice but I want toast. So I’m wrong because what I made isn’t doing what I made it for…
The Locus-Walker maybe connected to a non-fanatical Void Lord that doesn't see all paths as truth, seeing as someone or something must have trained the Locus-Walker and the Locus-Walker trained Alleria the same way.
Pretty sure it was just a failsafe in case Void forces overwhelmed Tittan forces on Khaz'Algar, like Algalon was supposed to ''reset'' Azeroth, in case of containtement failure..
This is not happening only in Warcraft. ALL entertainment from games, movies, series have been infected with these type of writers that for the "wow effect" of the audiences they know only to make this trope: Good guys were actually bad guys and viceversa, the bad guys were actually misunderstood and all that. MAYBE in the concept of all cosmical forces and that Titans were not actually the good guys, but were clearly not bad guys either. With how I understand it, they were on the level of fighting the force of Chaos, so they were Order, they never had feelings or align themselves to be good or evil, they just were and tried to do their Order stuff. But to be evil just for the sake of changing the lore and well established universe is bad writting and is happening all over with these new wave writers. Disney is doing right now with their latest show Acolyte, they did it before with Maleficent and Cruella. These new wave writers don't know other things to subvert expectations with the audiences. Only this trope of changing the good guys into bad guys and viceversa.
They aren't turning the Titans evil lmfao, just showing that they aren't on our side unless it fulfills their goals. Work on your interpretation skills.
we should have asked ourself since CLASSIC why there is a Lorekeeper of Norgannon, or where the statues from the portal came from.... the signs where always here - titans are not "evil" but the force order opon everyone. Not different to light, void, life, death, and Fel - they are just order
Hot take: The last titan is going to feature a redeemed Sargeras, who with illidan will stop the evil titans that want to destroy us. Maybe like hit the reset button or some shit and reset the ordering of the cosmos.
Warcraft cosmology reached its peak of stupidity when Blizzard started describing cosmic forces and making them the focal point of the story. For example: "order" should not be a cosmic force but their framework (After all, the word "cosmos" NECESSARILY implies the existence of an overarchibg order). This categorical error creates irresolvable contradictions in the lore: if the titans do not represent cosmic order but rather their own idea of order, they should not be considered part of a cosmic force. And if there is no Order outside them, there is no point in talking about cosmic balance or even value.
Well put, also I think that their experiment about representing titans as villains is stupid....I know there can't be black and white but really? Villains? After 20 years...pfft.
@@shady1306 Algalon quite literally called us failed experiments the moment he opened his eyes and saw us. The titans tolerate us because we are useful to them, otherwise they'd have glassed Azeroth since their titan constructs objectively failed.
@@jameschristophercirujano6650 If according to Blizzard Chronicle is Titan propaganda, then it is even more stupid, since they did a poor job of hiding their mistakes and representing themselves as the most legitimate force in the universe.
It truly is a shitty lore offered - perhaps originally, perhaps made worse by post-Metzan days, and perhaps this is the best they can offer in replacement fix-it mode. IDK which, but you are right that its actually bad and wholly contradictory. It is what happens when people that aren't writers are forced into such a role.
the last titan is an intended title for Azeroth - one that is claimed by Order. Perhaps all of the forces seek to infiltrate her... the light, void, life, death, order, disorder. Who will claim her? Will she become a titan or something else entirely?
Sounds like by the time the trilogy is done we will have to kill (or at least defeat) at least one actual Titan in order to ally with one of the more benevolent titans, thus solving their internal faction conflict for them.
i wouldn't think they're evil, maybe pragmatic, keep in mind that azeroth has several ticks, she was stabbed by a gigantic sword, so it's a 50% that she might go to the dark side or die. Not to mention they have been at war with void and old gods like in forever. Either way, you didn't need to have Tww in order to know they're not as kind as they appear, you have algalon in ulduar, which tells books on the titans's way of going around things.
I've been saying this since we started getting the first reveals on questionable titan acts in Dragonflight, it's like they're cribbing the concept of Order/Chaos from Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion series. Titans/Voidlords are functioning way above our concepts of good/evil, and too much of order/chaos is generally not a good thing for regular mortals.
Moorcock's Eternal Champions ended with a Golden Means Fallacy that didn't solve anything. Elric became better as he went away from Chaos and towards Order, only to be outmatched and killed by Stormbringer. After death, Elric became the Eternal Champion and did... nothing ,story ended.
I dont believe the titans are gonna be the bad guys in the war within they may have a motive we dont agree with but the void and xalatath are the main threat / villains we are going to face we are going to need the titans intervention/help in the last titan. Mabye a sargeras redemption arc.
I know this won't happen, but imagine Azeroth is corrupted, becomes evil and escapes from its prison, we have to fight it with the titans by our side and we defeat it but in doing so the planet crumbles into pieces so we have to escape to a new world and it marks the start of a new version of the game as Blizzars announces "World of Warcraft 2: a new beginning" and then my father comes back with the milk and tells me he is proud of me
I wouldn't call them evil. More like a lawful good. At times their actions will seem evil. But they are after the greater good. Which could mean mindless slaves.
Think of it this way. If I say "Fuck America" then destroy the declaration of independence would it be wrong for the government to now try to imprison me?
To Be Fair it is a Titan Construct there not run on free will there machines. And its been shown many times over in warcraft with a little magic any machine can be twisted to do what ever the caster wants. So this Construct may very well be under the influences of someone else.
The moral dilemma of the Titans, Burning Legion and the Void has been a thing since Warcraft. This is nothing new what so ever, and its this that made Illidan, Arthas and Burning Legion such good chapters, because they are neither good or evil. I like that they are bringing back these dilemmas and hope they are not retconing or dumbing it down too much.
hey loremasta - dont you think its funny Oldgods have alot more incommon with Trees, roots and dreams rather than Fleshless energies like the Ethereals and the Void?
Slight disagreement. We aren’t Titan creation any longer... We are the creation of light and void. Gift of flesh. We are essentially Nephalem. Children of angels and demons etc.
bro i am so tired of this subversion of expectations freaking storytelling it's so cringe The devs have succeeded. WoW cosmology is so grey now that it lacks any exciting pigmentation at all. "The avowed protectors of Azeroth and creators of countless defensive measures intended to preserve life? GOTCHA! THEY'RE ACTUALLY EVIL!" "Actual genocidal race of walking corpses whose starting zone quests include slaughtering refugees and murdering farmers? Bro i swear they're the real good guys they're just misunderstood."
The WoW devs who came up with that nonsense had a skewed view of morality - most of them were from the Cosby Suite Crew. They're the last people who should be giving ANYONE moral lessons or lectures.
@@snappycenter7863 Like I understand the desire to give depth to factions, but the cosmology should be untouched. Let good be good, and bad be bad. It honestly becomes a little hard to remain immersed when you INVADE HEAVEN AND KILL THE ANGELIC POWERS THAT MANAGE YOUR JUDGEMENT. It gives you too much power. Also, the fixation of making everyone "the playthings of the deities" is a tired trope that i'm sick of seeing. There's just no virtue left besides "le epique indomitable human spirit." There's no mysterious, unseen great power that wants to see you succeed out of the gentleness of its heart, and its sad to me. Just having an order of Paladins be good and a coven of Warlocks be evil is such a rare thing nowadays that honestly its beginning to be an impressive sight in itself when it is so straightforward. They had a wonderful thing going with the Scarlet Crusade with them being this originally well-meaning group that wanted to reclaim their home, clinging to their hope in the light, later being corrupted into insane zealots from years of isolation and demonic influence (that should honestly have their redemption arc already now that the demon controlling their faction is DEAD SINCE CLASSIC), and the Horde itself is a brilliant faction (besides undead, they can get stuffed) that should honestly go back to the more Garrosh-styled politics of the more-shamanistic class of society pushing for negotiation vs. the Warrior caste demanding revenge and victory the old-fashioned way. Azeroth itself should be up-sized and have lore locations revisited. AZEROTH should be the focal point of the setting. Draenor/Outland gets a pass because its literally linked by a giant evil portal, but the other places are insane to me, we should feel puny in a massive world, not like we can walk into heaven and murder deities.
Ok bad 😅take from earlirt post sorry, i recognized im just very skeptical about the lore direction. I hope everyone playing the expansion will have fun doing so
They indirectly were though. The titan Aggramar created Grond, a massive giant to fight the Evergrowth. From Grond came the Collosals, Gronn, Ogron, Ogres and eventually Orcs. So yes, Orcs were made by the Titans as well.
The titans are becoming more and more evil as new patch comes, while every other forces are becoming more "good". lol. Blizzard acts like the Titans are the biggest dudes you need to overcome when literally EVERY force has beaten them before. The titans at their peak couldn't beat Fel, but when Fel had an opportunity, they wiped the titans out almost permanently. lol The Void, with just their fart, was able to break the mind of the strongest active Titan and scared the titans with their fart alone. The Shadowlands showed that the fall of the titans was originated by Dreadlords, who are mere servants of a single Eternal. Like, have you heard about the Titan minions have that kind of feat? They can't even beat the Old Gods, despite the Titans being present while the Voildlords are absent. The Light is one of the most influential forces in Azeroth that is still active, serving the Light's goals (unlike the dragons aspects who left the titans and the Keepers who are practically dead or inactive), and was able to fight the Legion with better performance despite just being a fraction of what Light has. The Titans completely lost despite being present themselves, they can't even damage Sargeras, lol. Like.... why are the dudes who are losing to everyone being treated as some big bads we need to beat up? Lol.
I don't play retail, but I pop in on your videos from time to time and all I can say is that it certainly appears that Blizzard is crapping all over their own lore for the Titans. There was never any indication that they were malevolent beings, but it seems Blizzard has decided to give them the Diablo treatment. By that I mean, in the Diablo universe there are no 'good guys'. Everyone sucks, everyone has an agenda and everyone is out to get the humans. Tiring to see this is the only schtick Blizzard has, but that is why I don't play retail anymore, anyhow.
I've gotta say I hate this idea. I'm so tired of the "really secretly evil all along" cliche. The titans in the past weren't shown as callous, indifferent, or cruel. Now, after Azerothian mortals saved them and allowed them to defeat their rogue brother they're bad? Yeah, I hope not.
Ok I've been out of the loop for a minute but haven't we already put down the titans several times throughout the years granted a lot of them were corrupted to some degree but I'm serious getting the vibe of :how many times are we gonna have to teach you this old man: moment and didn't the pantheon watch us literally kick the crap out of sargearas who kicked the crap out of them are they going senile
I am not so sure the Titans are the bad guys. They are the creators. When your creation does not do what you created it to do, what is the point of keeping it around. Would you keep a TV that no longer has any sound or picture?
@@saulgoodguy1840 Certainly! Here's a more readable version: It depends on your perspective, but the Titans are not like parents but rather gods. It's similar to how an artist might tear up a drawing they don't like. From the perspective of a Titan, inhabitants of Azeroth are simply creations not fulfilling their intended purpose. Sentience also depends on definition, to the titans, we may not be sentient but just an advanced creation. If AI becomes sentient some day, and it decides to do something contrary to its intended program, I am sure we will erase or reboot the system

@@kennethbennett598Are you saying the Incarnates were put in medical beds and not prisons?
the titans probably view us the the same way someone who is constantly replacing their roomba, views a roomba
imagine you are in your house and your toster out of nowhere became sentient and start talking about toster right and not making toasts. then you are the bad guy because you want to reset it because you want your toast.
Yeah but as we can tell from all the playable races, the titanforged are not exactly tosters.

I honestly believe there is an agenda behind it.
They aren't turning the Titans evil lmfao, just showing that they aren't on our side unless it fulfills their goals. Work on your interpretation skills.
if that were the case he would have cleaved the planet immediately. He wants to wake her up before the void reaches her.
There is a Pet Battle NPC named "Awakened Custodian" that shares that same sprite. they are also in Dorn.
Sylvanas windrunner already said it. "This world is a prison"
Hope Eonar comes to our side
Titans: Are we the Baddies now
Aman'thul is a void lord in disguise.
Nah, not competent enough
we should have asked ourself since CLASSIC why there is a Lorekeeper of Norgannon, or where the statues from the portal came from.... the signs where always here - titans are not "evil" but the force order opon everyone. Not different to light, void, life, death, and Fel - they are just order
Hot take: The last titan is going to feature a redeemed Sargeras, who with illidan will stop the evil titans that want to destroy us. Maybe like hit the reset button or some shit and reset the ordering of the cosmos.
I'm sure that ants think that humans are evil too. In this case "evil" is relative.
Don't think ants are capable of even having thst concept, and that makes all the difference.
@@MikeTall88 Ants are incredibly intelligent, wild statement to make lmao
Who defined the Cosmological chart? I know it's in the omniscient narrator view, but we know they're trying to sell it as the Titan narrative.
Watch the Titans being the original Blizz Devs.
Isn't that like turning the story to make Jesus and God were the true evil all along? man, that sucks
It was a cringe cliche in the 90's and they're trying to bring it back now.
Bad analogy. They aren't being made out to be 'evil' they're just entities trying to achieve their goals.
Destroying obedient beings arent an evil act,,, its just an violent act in order to prevent evil from festering.
I think it’s going to be a royal rumble with all the force taking each other out
I know this won't happen, but imagine Azeroth is corrupted, becomes evil and escapes from its prison, we have to fight it with the titans by our side and we defeat it but in doing so the planet crumbles into pieces so we have to escape to a new world and it marks the start of a new version of the game as Blizzars announces "World of Warcraft 2: a new beginning" and then my father comes back with the milk and tells me he is proud of me
hahaha They need to hire some decent writers because this could either make or break wow if they get this wrong
What if the last titan is actually Sargeras? I mean, he is imprisoned isn't he?
I wouldn't call them evil. More like a lawful good. At times their actions will seem evil. But they are after the greater good. Which could mean mindless slaves.
Think of it this way. If I say "Fuck America" then destroy the declaration of independence would it be wrong for the government to now try to imprison me?
They are not evil, they are indifferent.
Illidian will be turned into the last titan.
Please no. That'd be Sylvanas, I mean Kerrigan becomes a Xel'naga levels of bad.
To Be Fair it is a Titan Construct there not run on free will there machines. And its been shown many times over in warcraft with a little magic any machine can be twisted to do what ever the caster wants. So this Construct may very well be under the influences of someone else.
Looks like bunch of infernal are gonna rain again :)
supporting the titans is still the best solution againg the void lords etc
Bro why would titans care about us? They literally made humans, we are their weapons nothing more.
But more important
Will the gnomes finaly get a story arc? Or willl ogrimmar get their 4th revamp and raid first?
Children of angels and demons etc.
bro i am so tired of this subversion of expectations freaking storytelling it's so cringe
The devs have succeeded. WoW cosmology is so grey now that it lacks any exciting pigmentation at all.
"The avowed protectors of Azeroth and creators of countless defensive measures intended to preserve life? GOTCHA! THEY'RE ACTUALLY EVIL!"
"Actual genocidal race of walking corpses whose starting zone quests include slaughtering refugees and murdering farmers? Bro i swear they're the real good guys they're just misunderstood."
just a continuation of the subversion of Christianity and truth/goodness in general. The frigging Light is now evil. Wtf?
I hope everyone playing the expansion will have fun doing so
Bruh, they been saying titans are doing shady shit since vanilla, what you mean its new lore?
Better warm up the kiju laser again
Orcs were not effected by the curse of flesh they are aliens too azeroth....they originate from Dreanor? so nooo they were not created by the titans?
They indirectly were though. The titan Aggramar created Grond, a massive giant to fight the Evergrowth. From Grond came the Collosals, Gronn, Ogron, Ogres and eventually Orcs.
So yes, Orcs were made by the Titans as well.
Couldn't just have nice guys, had to be secretly evil, sigh.
Not the spolier in the title 😫😫
The titans are becoming more and more evil as new patch comes, while every other forces are becoming more "good". lol.
Blizzard acts like the Titans are the biggest dudes you need to overcome when literally EVERY force has beaten them before.
The titans at their peak couldn't beat Fel, but when Fel had an opportunity, they wiped the titans out almost permanently. lol
The Void, with just their fart, was able to break the mind of the strongest active Titan and scared the titans with their fart alone.
Lol.
no.
Spoiler alert guys. Just saying.
When did we kick the crap out of Sargeras? I know we kicked his Avatar, but that wasn't him personally - more like a puppet he could posses.
and this shit reminds me of eternals from marvel shit got me weak af like if they dont do what the celestials want they they destroy the planet lmao
Attack on Titans
I am not so sure the Titans are the bad guys. They are the creators. When your creation does not do what you created it to do, what is the point of keeping it around. Would you keep a TV that no longer has any sound or picture?
They are sentient beings. Its more along the lines of "would you kill your kid if they stopped acting how you wanted them to?"
@@saulgoodguy1840 Certainly! Here's a more readable version:
It depends on your perspective, but the Titans are not like parents but rather gods.
