It was a fun one that caught my eye, for sure! Talk about an effective gimmick! Just keep your expectations low if you plan to read it. Very generic story. Ha! Thanks for the comment!!!
Secret Weapons #11B, the one with the envelope. It's a dumb gimmick , but it's a gimmick. I wonder: Did they ever do a 3D Comic with an embossed cover? That would be cool. Not variants, but not exactly regular comics either: Do you have - I guess I'll have to call them sourcebooks - like the Iron Manual and Punisher: Armory?
Yeah, that Secret Weapons one is worth mentioning. If I ever do a follow up video I will include it. I actually liked it. I don't know about an embossed glow cover, but I'll be on the lookout now that you mention it! I love twofers that have multiple gimmicks! And yes, I know what you mean about sourcebooks. Punisher Armory was actually really good. I like those. I like anything that's out of the ordinary. Thanks for the AMAZING comments!!!
I love those kind of images where there are two (or more) possibilities! Like that picture where you either see an old woman or a young woman. I wonder if Byrne had any idea just how many variants there would be once he got the ball rolling. Firsts are always fun! Thanks for the comment!!!
@@thecomicsamurai The answer is: too many! I imagine some collector in the future wanting to buy the basic newsstand version of a particular comic, but nobody has it because all the collectors only bought the variants. ;-)
@@godofzombi That happens already. All the time, I'm sure. It happened to me. I had more than a couple Spawn #1 newsstands I got at my grocery store. I gave them away because the UPC hid some of the art on front and it was printed on a pulpy paper. I never thought they would be worth anything and gave them away. I probably should have held on to ONE copy at least, but I only wanted the glossy direct variant. I haven't seen a single newsstand copy in the wild since. Thanks for listening!
A good time! Thx!
No worries! Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the comment!!!
You've done a fantastic job on this series.
THANK YOU! I actually had a lot of fun. I'm so happy with how they turned out now. THANKS again!!!
I found that issue of Jab in the bins at my comic store and was HOOKED by the gimmick but mine didn’t have the bullet still inside, that is so cool!
Nice! Is yours signed at all? How big is the hole in it? Thanks for the comment, too fun!!!
Great job on this series. Have to admit I never heard of that generic comicbook. I'll have to obe the look out for it.

Yeah, I just see the Joker with two spikes on his head. 🙃 1:50 Cool. I was wondering last week what was the first variant cover.
