- Located in the outskirts of Lucknow, The Ramayana House was designed for the client to spend time with his family. The theme of Ramayana was an ode to his childhood where he grew up listening to stories and tales from the Ramayana.

The house is conceptualised in various chapters or kaands as mentioned in Valmiki’s Ramayana. The tales and narratives across these kaands are brought to life through local arts and talent. Be it the oonjal from South India or the exquisitely carved console from the artisans of Saharanpur, this home is a celebration of Indian art and craftsmanship.
A fine balance has been achieved by using vintage references and elements in a contemporary context. The subtlety of the walls and the furniture allows the many artworks, murals, and craft pieces to shine through and do complete justice to the theme.

A stunning Madhubani art mural, a passage adorned with a groin vault ceiling and inspiration from art and literary references to Ramayana, are some key highlights of the project. The architect walks through the house vividly explaining how she achieved the idea of spatial storytelling through one of the most revered and timeless epics of our country.

In the Era, where people settle in for international theme decor and design for their homes, this Ramayana based architecture stands out surreal. Every nook and cranny of the house is so thoughtfully designed.I am falling short of words to describe the beauty of the house. This is the best house design and architecture I loved till date. Though some people might say that this is not the proper ramayana theme but lets appreciate what all they did , obvioulsy they cant just put a jhopdi inside the house , it was inspired by ramayan ji and i feel the archiect designed it beautifully and maintained both ramayan story and bits of moderness to fit in present scene❤

Beautiful house set on a great narrative. Each artwork, space and design flows seamlessly and organically. The whole house as a narrative of Ramayan is so well put up that one feels a part of the story rather than being on the outside of it. Kudos to the team for executing the project so wonderfully.
