- Pianist magazine's house pianist Chenyin Li plays Satie's hypnotic Gnosssienne No 3. See how she keeps the pulse constant. And with great tone. The recording was made at the Royal College of Music Studios, on a Steinway. The Score is found inside the June/July 2016 issue (No 90) of Pianist magazine, out on Friday 27th May.
THE BEST VERSION I'VE EVER HEARD...
Maybe the best interpretation I ever heard... thank you!
I must agree . . .
I had the exact same thought.
best pace and best interpretation on youtube
SURE... ONE OF THE GREATEST I HAVE LISTENED... SUBLIME... DIVINE...
So deep, so gentle, so meaningful
I learned this piece at the pacing showed here. Li has the best interpretation I've seen and heard. Every other pianist who plays it makes it sound rushed and not hauntingly beautiful like how Li played it here.
Beautiful interpretation.
Like a beautiful dream
Dear Chenyin, your play is like the most fine and gentle touch to my heart. And yet, still so deep. It's like the air all around me is filled with tones and feelings from your play, and each breath I take fills my soul with it.
If you don't mind, I have taken the liberty of posting a link to this video on my Facebook page.
Sincerely, Elena
I love her hair, and @Doe Jones I agree with you
Only interpretation I've found that doesn't bug me, so far... Thanks Chenyin, I'll be paying to you in the future! Also, great hair
electrifying.....hovering on the boundaries of sleep and wakefulness...just gorgeous!
What a beautiful sound
My first thought: this is way too slow. But then: my god this is amazing..
I'm studying this piece now and this interpretation is beautiful and touching.
The most difficult gnossienne is, by far, the N°6,
@@pascalxavier3367 but the most beautiful is No.3
Ooo no.1 is pretty damn good too
@@4231jerome it gets tired and repetitive, im trying to learn all 6 gnossienes and at the moment I know 1 and 3... Trying to go for the 4 but I cant handle the constant arpeggios in the song
@@Lopeirada I can only play 1 and 3 aswell!
Though I haven’t tried to learn any of the others yet.
beautiful piece played beautifully.
Freaking amazing interpretatiom
beautiful hands and playing
God this is just so good. I love this so much.
Ganz wundervoll interpretiert!
from the heart
me parece tan enervante esa pieza musical, la puedo oir por horas!
Fantástica!❤
can Chenyin Li play Moonlight Sonata 1st and Pathetique 2nd some time?
No bar lines
where.?
They are not necessary.
@@JeromeHattKronen1664 Satie often omits the bar lines in his music scores.
Yeah but there could be, it's in four
I don't look at the music sheet when I play it.
Pascal xavier maybe she’s sight reading, this piece is very easy to sight read for professional musician
@@user-vh8kq8jp2t It's easy to learn by heart.
I don't look at the music sheet when I listen to it..
As a professional pianist, she's certainly perfectly able not to look at it; so do I, I'm an amateur and learned it yesterday... So she must have chosen to look at it for some personal reason.
