Because he got the steal or because the arm isn’t noticeable to call also he’s not holding the guy with his arms it’s body to body contact so it’s legal
It's because the defender has maintained a legal guarding position (LGP) all the time. To obtain LGP, the defender must: 1. two feet on the ground inbounds, 2. The front torso faces the dribbler all the time. The defender loses LGP and the defense becomes illegal when: 1. the dribble's head and shoulder have surpassed the defender's torso and the contact occurs. 2. the defender uses his body parts other than the front torse to obstacle the dribbler's path, such as his arms, legs, and hips. The defender's action examined in this video qualifies the above criteria.
At 1:46, I assume Jue's slide to cut off the offensive player's driving lane and the subsequent contact should be considered a foul. Or are there any tactics I've overlooked?
If you’re holding his hand and the refs see it you’re definitely getting called but just using your inside hand and putting on their hip if their close to you can help slow them down, and no it’s not a hand check because they can still move wherever they want

Exactly! do this and prepare to foul out.
Isn't pinning the arm on defense a foul?
No, unless you’re too aggressive with it ig
