I can't praise NECA enough for the amazing work that they've been doing with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures. Much like Leonardo and Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael are impressive in regards to their sculpt and paint application. With that aside, thanks as always Spot. I really appreciate the hard work. I’ve had these figures for a long time, and last night I realized I was missing the attachment to Michelangelo’s spinning nunchuck. Then I saw this video and realized the regular nunchucks detach and you just use the handle. I was thinking it was more like Revoltech where there’s a separate piece that I must be missing, so thanks for showing that little detail.
i wanna my turtles to be kinda different but at the same time stands out on my shelf .. so i will go with this release since the darker tone turtles already made for neca 1990 movie turtles .. i can display them all together and still look different teams
If you wanna paint the line, I suggest you get Testors Acrylic paint and the thin brush. I you use a marker, the plastic will absorb the ink and become a purpleish line with time, also because the plastic absorbs the ink aside from not being able to remove, it will spread out a little bit with time, the line may look like a bruised line. The acrylic paint will not be absorbed and if you wanna remove it, you could easily take it out with alcohol without damaging the figure.
Im probably ganna go for the darker they look more like the animation, i don't remember if they made them brighter i think they were always a dark green. This color was from when you see them on t shirts or boxes they be a bright green. Also that way i can get sheder krang and foot solders Then all i'll get is the bebop and rocksready two pack.
Dont know if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my gf for the last couple of days xD
NECA has really covered all the bases with these figures, it does not feel like a cash grab... Love all the little accessories from the animated series...

Im a cartoon purist so I prefer the wave 1 colors. I kinda see what you are saying about the wave 2 reminding you of the video games. however they had brown shells in the games so these are not it. So its a No from me Im still on the hunt for a wave 1 Leo and Mikey set.
No the holes are from Shredders claws on the hands... they also say that in that episode... it is the Pizza Monsters episode :) some more of those Free Pizza flyers are flushed into the sewer by Shredder tu lure the Turtles out and all the Flyers have the 4 cuts at the same spot... Splinter mentions the cuts may be from Shredder and he is right... of course the Turtles had also the same feeling so they kick Shredders bottox ^^ Baxter Stockman is also around and then turns in some later episode into the Fly... your welcome :D
Darth Vader this seems true across the board with pretty much any TMNT these days. All the cartoon NECA ones, the old Mirage NECA sets, and the Revoltech set all have those super long chains. I think NECA’s movie TMNT gets it right with the shorter cord version of his chucks.

The grappling hook is a nod to the UK version of TMNT. Mikey's nunchucks were deemed to be too violent for UK kids, so he used the grappling hook.

That's correct. The brighter colors were used for merchandise. They were never this vibrant in the show.

If you want to paint the middle line of the nose, you can try getting a black modelkit paint and a very fine brush to do it properfly.
