I have been traveling through Darjeeling Toy train since 1972 hauled by baby steam engine,I still remember a long train used to leave Siliguri stn and get separated into four sections at Sukna stn and the last one used to reach Daj in the late afternoon,so much fun I'm 67 now and see the beauty of nature has eroded like hell.
Darjeeling is wonderful people r extremely friendly. I found locals huge fan of Jubin nautiyal.scene of sunrise fm tigerhill is awesome. Heritage train travel a memorable experience.

This is very beautiful, and it is a very unique train. There needs to be an extra coach, there is an increase in passengers and travel should be in comfort, rather than standing. Upkeep of this rail network should also be considered important not just from a money point of view. We live and learn something new everyday. Thank you for this interesting journey.
@@sudhirtamang4564 Residents on the region should make a peoples representation to the railways and the government to improve facilities for tourist travelers and residents alike. It should be a constant reminder to the authorities, if the representation is neglected, it may soon be forgotten. One has to keep at it. All the best
Quite a beautiful journey ,we went from Siliguri to Darjeeling in cab way back in 1990s । Missed the toy train journey that time but will surely do next time।and rongtong station is also quite superb।

4:49 yes its rare but not that much . There is a railway station where my Father used to work as SS ,it has a bell system . Because there is only one "सवारी गाड़ी" that have stop there , they don't have anytype of announcement speakers there so to inform villagers that train will be arriving soon , staff rings the bell . * They used to give cardboard tickets (i think those type of tickets may have stopped).
