Hayward Plunge - A Haunted East Bay Hike in the Bay Area

Hayward urban legend of a deranged swimming coach who drowns his entire swimming team in a nearby river. A definitely creepy story with a spooky hike that can be done in either a 6 mile trek or a shortened 2 mile version (search for the "Greenelt Trail" on AllTrails, or follow the trail right behind the Hayward Plunge). Lots of graffiti and plenty of acoustic tricks caused by the ravine to add to the eerie ambience...a recommended trek in the Bay Area for October!
