Aside from the video subject, I just wanted to mention that your videos have been very instructive and helpful to me as I prepare to travel to Canada for my future studies by the end of this year.
This was a disturbing news. Thanks for sharing and educating many students. As you said taking action to share and educate will surely help many. So I shared this news and this video link on LinkedIn by mentioning you.
The simple answer is limitation in resource. At any Canadian port of entry, there are visa officers screening thousands of arrivals per shift. They spend about 1 to 5 minutes to examine each arrival. There is not enough time for this officer to screen the student, look through each document, make an inquiry, call their supervisor, send out an email to Seneca College and get a response to confirm or deny that she was a student a the school and then return to the student with a refusal decision. Another thing to note is that when you submit a study permit application, you are required to sign by saying that the information you provide is “true, accurate and complete.” So, visa officer assumes that your information is true, accurate and complete so that they don’t have to investigate every applicant that arrives at the Canadian border. It is simply impractical.

Hi Rachel, do you happen to be knowledgeable about if international students who study a trade program and gain experience through apprenticeship after graduating can apply for PR ? does that type of experience count?
Hi. My agency provided me with a job offer letter that I will return to my home country after completing my studies. The letter is for a job in my home country. But it looked dubious to me. Especially when I didn't know what or where that company was. I decided not to include it in my application. On June 3rd 2022 I got refused anyways 😂🤣😅. Can I include this letter in my home country ? Will I be charged for misrepresentation ?
Since you already have a refusal, I suggest that you hire an immigration lawyer or immigration consultant based here in Canada to assist with your application. The re-application is a very difficult process to overcome the previous refusal.
Hi Rachel, regarding "proof of sufficient fund", do I just show the immigration officer at my point of entry the same proof of funds I attached during my visa application? How much should I bring to Canada to show them that I have sufficient fund? Thank you ☺️
