Just finished watching two other videos of yours. You did an excellent job of replacing the rear panel and side pieces below the trunk. New subscriber here. Did that 55 live part of its life in the desert? Nice work on fixing the eyebrows 👌 👍
Thanks very much, this is a West Virginia 55, one owner, that sat for many years on tarped gravel. It has it’s share of fixes, but not nearly as many as the first 55 I restored. I even found an old silver nickel under the inner rocker panel.
Hi, for me it helped to have a new headlight bucket and the chrome bezel. The chrome bezel must be what you plan on using with your final assembly, and make sure its a mirror fit to the other head light bezel. I have found that not all reproduction bezels have the same fit as the originals. I chose to find a good pair of used OEM on e-bay, that I will have rechromed. I made sure both drivers and passengers had the same fit, before i screwed anything in place. Its a lot of assembly and dis assembly before those first tac welds. If the bezel fits in well, ( held on with mounting screws ) you are on the right track.
