I randomly saw the video and I completely agree. Less than a week ago I got a 16 week old puppy. I freaked out at every bark, I was always gentle, afraid of making the puppy upset. Within days she peed an pooped all across the apartment and barked the second she couldn't see me. I was terrified because I live in a complex. But today I realised I was babying her too much. I put her into the kennel several times in a day, she went nuts, completely. I put a piece of paper on my door that said puppy in training, sorry for the barking and I gave no shits anymore. She is now quietly sleeping in her crate and today for the first time she peed and pooped outside. it's a LOT of work, but it's better to do the work now than try to fix it in a year.
Ours doesn't get to be on furniture/sleep in the bed, we don't touch/pet her everytime she comes up to us. We brought her home at 12 weeks, she is 10 months now. From day 1 Did crate training to help with potty training & for brief stretches when we're out (going grocery shopping, etc). On occasion, she'll be crated when we're home, because even tho she has a variety of toys, she LOVES to chew up bed comforters most🙃. She does flip out if she can't see one of us. Even with her big sister in the room with her. She'll calm eventually, but it can still be stressful (from various perspectives). Our other dog (10y) we also crate trained as a pup. But we/she hasn't needed/wanted a crate in years. She hasn't ever been a flipper outter either (she's been amazingly perfect imo). But this youngster...I tell ya, Idk about her! Suggestions for this kind of situation? Love your videos, followed here from fb 😊

Great job. Keep up the good work with that puppy.
