Warm regards from Frankfurt. I'm surprised you photographed with the R8 in the rain. I just bought this camera and will now have fewer qualms about using it in inclement weather. I like your photos very much.
Thank you so much! I was skeptical on taking it in the rain as it is only weather sealed. Not weather proof! It held up nicely. I was impressed. Thank you so much for the kind compliments! Beautiful city, I need to go back and stay longer. Hopefully it will be much drier haha. Thanks for watching!
It looks like the weather was drizzling at best and straight raining at worst, seeing how the R8 handled in these conditions do you have any feedback on the camera and its partial weather sealing from experience? I watched a video where a landscape photog was out in light rain and the camera just shut down. Thanks for the video!
Oh wow! I would’ve cried if it shut down haha. No, it didn’t do anything like that and it was pretty wet that evening. Id say protect it if you can but a little drizzle and rain won’t hurt it too bad
Excellent question…the rumors you hear about this battery not lasting long are false. Although they are smaller I’m able to get 3-4 hours of continuous photos and videos out of it. I can’t give you a number of photos but can tell you that you will get a lot!
So that specific preset is called, “Eggnog” by Lou & Marks. These are great presets for super cheap. They have tons of styles. Check ‘em out. Hope this helps!
Absolutely! These are just my opinions, it really depends on what kind of photos you would like to take. However, with street photography, a versatile lens is important to adapt for the ever changing scene. I would go with the EF-M 15-45mm 3.5/6.3 or most likely the 18-150mm3.5/6.3. They are not constant apertures but that shouldn't matter if you're doing street photography. Linked below, hope this helps! There are 3rd party lenses starting to trickle out, so keep an eye on those. Sigma and Tamron make great 3rd party lenses. www.usa.canon.com/shop/p/ef-m-15-45mm-f-3-5-6-3-is-stm?color=Black&type=New www.usa.canon.com/shop/p/ef-m-18-150mm-f-3-5-6-3-is-stm?color=Silver&type=New
