How about a series of "week ons" titled mike goes back in time and try a week on 1920s food and a week on 1930s food, 1940s, 1950, 1960s food and so on up to the present day? You could also throw in an infomercialism each week with a gadget from each decade?
This would involve actual cooking which they have demonstrated time and time again that they cannot do. Maybe if they can team up with another channel.
You should have read the instructions on the mousse! “Although this product can be eaten frozen, for best results defrost in a cool place for 45 minutes prior to eating”
I had a (vegan) cheese cake where I made that same mistake. It tastes so much better (and more like real cheesecake) if you let it thaw out. It's nothing like my previous attempts to make a non-dairy cheesecake on my own, going with recipes.
blind io no they are mousses! They just haven’t let them defrost! However, I eat them both ways as they do taste similar to ice cream when eaten frozen 😊

Ye.. there's literally a brand in Canada called "no name" and the simple packaging is their whole schtick.. except it is yellow rather than white I think. 😀👍

Muesli is high in calories because its all fats and carbs, nuts and oats. A calorie being a unit of energy and carbs and fats are energy. Also, not all fats are bad fats, your body needs fats to function.
Fat being bad for you is a terrible myth. Fat & sugar are a damaging combination, but dietry fat doesn't equal bodily fat. The human body is quite adept at living on a high fat low carb diet.
Yes but sugar can be used by the body straight away. The body has to use energy to convert fat into a usable source of energy. Hence when you consume carbs and sugars you glucose levels increase massively (and the crash when the insulin hits), plus a great deal of the fat you consume passes straight through your digestive system without being absorbed. Calories are measures by drying out and then burning the 'food' and measuring how much it causes a litre of water to change temperature. Hence even indigestible items such as wood has a calorie content. Carbohydrates and sugars are very efficient in the body hence why they give us a rush in energy. Some things like fat take time to be broken down. So. Even though fat appears more energy dense and has more calories you might only use half of that to provide you with energy, the rest will pass through your body and be undigested. So, gram for gram, in usable energy they could be very close indeed.
Fascinating how after all these week-ons and diets, Mike still has no clue about nutrition. of course Muesli has a relatively large amount of calories, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad for you.
I know, right? Mike's really bad at portion sizes and calorie counts. "There's only 200 calories in here". No, Mike. That's the calories for a quarter of a bag. You just ate a whole bag.
Adam RDL chop up an apple, put on breakfast or just eat unchopped. 1 serving veg with lunch, 1serving veg with dinner. banana for snacktime. that's 4/5 done which is better than 0/5. This video series is supposed to be cheap asda food but despite Mike pointing out a large bag of frozen veg at the start of the week, it hasn't been touched so far. Even eating some vegetables is better than nothing. I know eating healthy sounds pretty uncool to some but it makes a huge difference to your energy and activity levels compared to eating junk food.
high calorie does not mean bad stop thinking like a meat head, calories are just a unit of energy, you should look at the macronutrient breakdown and micronutrient breakdown and compare it to your requirements
High calorie actually does mean bad if you are watching your calories. You can eat a healthy meal that is very high in calories and gain weight. Key is to keep calories low while still getting the nutrition you need. High calories and high nutrients can be as bad an low calories and low nutrients.

The macaroni cheese is quite nice - I normally pad it out with a box of micro chips, to use up the excess cheese sauce. The Smart Price pot noodles are foul, though - the only food I've ever seen my old dog (rest his soul) refuse to eat (he was like a waste disposal unit for the household's leftovers).
For all microwave packaging, stick a fork into the cover and pull it along in a straight line around three of the edges. It will save your fingers, and is much easier to open. When you have three sides open, pull back the covering very quickly and pull your hands away to avoid the rush of steam.
I did a week at Tesco and a week at ASDA to compare them a few years ago. Personally I have to say Tesco swung it for me. Guess it's down to preference but I found most ASDA stuff to be a bit bland compared.
Wendy Jordan just spent two weeks in England and in cities and near town centers it was mostly those tiny Tesco stores. Pretty good cheese and bread and cold cuts for when I didn’t feel like restaurant food.
To make food last longer, they suck the air out of the package and replace it with another gas. Depending on the food, it's usually carbon dioxide or nitrogen. That's why jars of food last months on the shelf, but go off three days after you open them. Once the oxygen gets in, they go bad.
