    Awesome. Just discovered your channel and I'm about to binge watch until I've caught up. I too have a 4WD bus, kitted out as a home. It's a 1991 Mitsubishi Rosa 4WD. I bought it (in New Zealand) 6 years ago, already kitted out in modern campervan style. It wasn't perfect for my needs, so I gutted the dining and kitchen area. I built a new lounge and kitchen area out of cardboard and duct tape, lived with it for 2 weeks and tweaked the design until it was perfect. Then I measured everything and rebuilt the interior out of elm and plywood. It's an on-going project, mostly because of the ridiculous way I like to do things. Curved drawer fronts, for example. I'm stoked to have found your channel and to finally find some other 4WD bus peeps. Cheers guys.

    It’s cold and raining. I’m lying here with a cold and cold sore and watching this as an escape. I can only dream about this. I’m hoping to do this. Well done!

    Just come across this build as I've just bought a 1990 4WD Coaster. We live up in the Riverland. I'll be following the build now. Cheers

    A better option for getting the insulation glue off is plastic metal brush head. It pulls it all off without damaging the paint like a scraper will. Make sure you’ve rust proofed everywhere you’ve scraped after 👍

      Hey Vicky, thank you this is an excellent point we didn't think of! Wish we had that back then lol, eeek! Yes the metal brush head did grate away a bit. Thankfully we did rust proof most of those sections after... but not all of them 😬

    .... here's a thought for a video not many have done, instead of it being one of a billion conversion videos.......Change it back to a small passenger bus?

  • @allandriver2066

    Sorry guys....but if you put the wrong insulation directly against a steel roof you get condensation against the surface...., which means rust.

    • @saltandcharcoal
      @saltandcharcoal  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea defiantly the wrong insulation can do that. Not ideal to be directly on it.
