Kalilah Reynolds speaks to young adults in the Child Protection and Family Services Agency system about how to plan their finances and build wealth to create a platform for success in the future.
Comfortably though? That’s dependent on your budget/expenses. To comfortably cover all expenses, insurances, investments, savings/pension funds/emergency funds in the current economic climate, roughly about range 700,000.00 to 1,000,000.00JMD after taxes are withdrawn. Again it varies based on your monthly expenses or whatever goals each person has in mind.
If you die, the life insurance (if sufficient) covers the balance of the mortgage loan and property goes to your beneficiary. If no insurance at death or if you default on payments, the bank sells the property to recover what's owed.
All l can say is that if it requires $500,000 per month to live comfortably......then the majority of Jamaicans are miracle workers.... because the average to median wages in Jamaica at present is between $720,000 and $2, 500,000 PER YEAR
But how are they making young people aware of these benefits at heart Especially outside of Kingston to people who don't follow the news Like they follow Thier favourite singers . And the ignorant people who say nothing going on the government is all for Thier self
This is what they need to normalize teaching in schools. Most of us have to stumble through life to find these things out the hard way
$500,000 is what is comfortable to live in this country per month
and NET not GROSS
