So the Woodstown took over what used to be the SRNJ into Salem? Missed that somehow. The SRNJ has seemed to retrench over the last decade and got rid of much of what made them unique so I guess this was a given. Does this line still get enough traffic from the port of Salem to keep rail track conditions up to class 3 standards?
The port of Salem isn't connected to the Salem branch currently the only freight that runs on the line are covered hoppers for the farmers exchange in Woodstown and the trash containers that going to Mannington to be refurbished besides that the most the line sees movement is from the excursion trains for the Woodstown Central Railroad and the line is rated at fra class 2 standards
@@mlpderick Thanks for the info. I had a feeling nothing was being shipped from the port after the end of the wind turbine parts and small amounts of exports. Like the port of Camden business is down.

@@Zach_Bloomquist Yes SMS took over the Salem Branch from SRNJ and those blue waste cars were heading to Salem.
