The thunderous roar of the AMG V8, the howl of the 911 GT3 R, the shriek of the Audi/Lamborghini V10 all chasing each other... these are the reasons I love world endurance racing over single type racing
Glad Mercedes are still running the M159, Still one of the most powerful engines in GT3 and that thunderous noise. In person you can feel it never mind hear it.
Ever since the BMW Z4 GT3 finished, I've debated in mind on which GT3 had the best sound between the AMG GT3 or the V10 from the Lambos and Audis, but they all sound magnificent. However, the new Mustang GT3 may take the best sound crown from 2024 onwards.
Love using the z4 gt3 engine swapped into the m3s in gt7. That and the gtr swap into the lancia delta and alpine a110. The sound is crazy good. And the delta with 1000 hp is a monster
Mercedes seems like to keep the throttle response of the NA engine. Yes, latest generation turbo engine get minimal turbo lag, even from low rpm, but still cannot beat the pure throttle response from NA engine, especially the big displacement ones.
With GT3s aimed at privateers, I’m sure people running these love the cheaper maintenance and simplicity of the NA V8. The Aston was designed as a GTE first then converted to GT3 so keeping it simple and inexpensive weren’t priorities
And its ultra reliable beeing used in mercedes sls gt3 and now amg gt gt3. Its powerfull, easy to maintain and reliable. Remember that spa 24h merc winner, is in the museum now with spa win and 24h nurb win. And it was claimed that the engine just had an oil change, gearbox too. I mean not sure latest competitors can say that. Also amg gt4 and amg gt2 both get the twin turbo one, wich is kinda weird. But aston gt4 keeps the 4.7L aston made before. Tough it was supposed to be derived from street cars 😅
Easily the most dominant GT3 car in recent years, first one to truly beat the R8. Always seems to be fast, no matter what the track or BoP are, and drivers like Marciello, Gounon or Engel certainly help. Love that deep rumbling beast of a V8.
I love all competitive motor racing but these GT and the Isle of Man TT are my number one and two. The sounds of the V engines are just fantastic. As someone said before we thank the manufacturers for keeping these alive.🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴
Peoppe don't care about this car enough. It's like the modern day z4. Very small and back down cockpit, huge wing, and a thundering v8 up front. While not as wild as the z4, it is still an oasis of today's motoraport that's all about vaccum cleaner ahh v6 twin turbo engines.
Best sounding Naturally aspirated V8 modern GT3 racecar hands down 🙌🙌
P60B40 and P65B40 truly are

Absolutely! In the V10 front however the late Reiter Gallardos were insane, even better than the Huracan/R8. Can't wait to hear the Mustang in person.
Interesting how Mercedes still keeps 6.2 v8 for AMG GT3, but Aston Martin uses Mercedes's turbocharged 4.0 v8 for Vantage GT3.
Definitely grateful that they still use the N/A engine!

@@fajarastanaprima2771 No it's not about throttle response. They did it to make the engines cheaper and easier to maintain for customer teams

Thunder sound ! My fav GT3 car.
Your videos make me dream of visiting those circuits for a tour in Europe.
Pure noise of racing

We must thank AMG (and Porsche) who still brought these NA machines for us... in the sea of turbos
4:45 🔥❤️
That car is crazy. So much power and than the sound it produces!!
Long life large displacement NA engines, my fav GT3 car by far
What an unbelievable sound
Masterpiece 🎼🎼🎼

Great
Nordschleife the best track in the world
TIL the AMG GT3 EVO has a NA engine. I was wondering why it sounded better than AM
Is the next AMG GT3 going to be using the new GT 63 model?
is it cross plane or flat?
