The Beijing Dance Acadamy is one of the best dance schools in China. And since everything in China is so competitive (due to the large population) you can imagine how hard these girls have to work to stay on top...
@missWhatever1996 That would be because Chinese classical dance is Chinese traditional dance (which started in the royal courts as concubines performed for the emperor, and some of the dances would be about war victories) after the Western influence of ballet and formal training. To Westernized eyes and mindsets, Chinese classical dance could be described as a combination of acrobatics, rhythmic gymnastics, ballet, and martial arts.
@mssongslovers I think she definitely knows how to and she can. Its just a matter of how polished her techniques still are, with all the hiphop/pop dance she now dances. Chinese ballet and any dance for that matter, needs constant practice to maintain that kind of technique. I just wish SM or TV show producers would give her an opportunity to dance something like this, say in live concerts or something.
+okla That's actually Victoria at 1:45 ! I know that as I saw the exact same video which mentions that that is Victoria at 1:45 :)) And of course she can do ALL the moves , she is REQUIRED too ! If she didn't know how to do them she would not be in the academy anymore . In Beijing Dance Academy you start learning those moves before , towards 12-14 years old ^^ My friend from Beijing Dance Academy told me !
spinning like that is actually one of the basic techniques in chinese dance, but to be able to jump with you leg up that high...really can't be done without years of basic hard traning
Wow! Beautiful! The only thing I would say is to point their feet more... bothered me a little. There's some other iffy technique in there but obviously it's not ballet. That lost fouette girl blew my mind. And the stamina of the split-jumps - WOW. Gorgeous!
This is amazing! their spins are superhuman and remind me of helicopters. Maybe I should go to Japan but how much time would have to be devoted to dance to become this good?
This was amazing...And to the hater below me (and TRUST that you are beneath me) I say: How many dancers does it take to screw in a light bulb? Give up? 100 (One to actually dance and 99 to say, "I could have done that better!") It's ART, so who are you to judge?
@CrAzii4Wings You are right, there is no doubt there are martial arts elements to it. Also I'd like to point out that some moves here resemble the butterfly jump---a very hard move for girls given the core strength required. It is well-known that Soviet-styel dance training is heavily gymnastic----what's shown here is even beyond that.
Wow, this was amazing! Thanks for posting :) How old are the students who attend? It felt like sometimes some of the girls had a hard time with control - like, they might have been going a little too fast to stay in control. BUT overall phenomenal - incredibly talented dancers!!
amazing... still trying to find a way to close my gaping mouth... i saw Miss A's Fei do this electric fan dance (that resembles the ones in this video) and was stupefied but now this...
Holly Sh1t! Those are awesome techniques. They spin so fast, it is like ice dancing. So Victoria of f(x) can do those move too since she is from the same school?
its so cool! and adicting tio watch! i like the ones that do lots of gymnastics, and the ones that spin... no ofense, but the ones that just jump three times in a row is kinda dumb... no ofense... its just that it kinda seems like that they have no talent... NO OFENSE!(i know im saying no ofense a lot... but oh well.) I LOVE IT!(and the music always gets stuck in mu head.):):):):):):):):)::):)
this was amazing and awsome but there all like clones coz tht endin thy all cood do xactly the sme thing ano there all different ppl but there all ave da same abiltys
wow i love the music!! but not as much as the DANCING! i hate how the second girl completely winds up for her turn :/ the western world is not yet done for ;)
There is a fine line usually between Art & Sports No line here it is just technique with no Arts Some of the blending between the two dance culture are promising but nothing impressive here The Chinese Culture is vase, wonderful & so creative, we see it true the Olympic how Arts, sports, discipline and creativity could amaze the human spirit, But this is just movements with no sole. No empress lot of the Technique was not that great, lack of timing, bad extension 6 .5 on 10 ...

Wow! I'm loving how these girls get to do what would be commonly treated as men's technique. I especially loved the Kossack knee turns. Sweet!

Beause a lot of ballet and gymnastic skills are copied from Chinese tranditional dance or Wushu kungfu.
bangbangtangahwei
its traditional Chinese dance, the two that you mentioned was inspired from this
There is a fine line usually between Art & Sports
No line here it is just technique with no Arts
