Just wanted to leave a comment here to say this is the first ever video I watched on TH-cam back when I was in school, and the inspiration for me to start ballet classes. It wasn't an easy task to find a ballet school in a developing country at a time when barely anyone in the country knew what ballet was. But my child self persisted in the days of slow internet to find a ballet class two hours away from me. Fast forward to now, I have completed my ballet training and have taught for a few years too. And I still continue to dance in my leisure time. I cannot emphasise enough how much nostalgia this video brings me and how grateful I am that Anaheim Ballet was one of the very first TH-cam channels to make ballet accessible to a global audience!
I am a dancer and I'm getting my pointe shoes in January, so I found Anaheim ballet from my dance instructor and it has really helped me and inspired me. But I can't believe ANYONE would thumb this down! LIke, I can barely do a double perioutte and they can do, like, 5!
Forget the thumb's down people, they have no talent.....I've been to 1 ballet....and was the only one who liked it....well, maybe I should say appreciated it. I love to watch professionals do what they do....weather it's a dancer or a doctor....the best of the best entertains me. The second these dancers move....I can tell they've put in a LOT of time and dedication. To totally commit to anything is a sacrifice to be sure....but those who succeed are a minority. It must be grueling, hard work to get to this level. I totally appreciate these dancers showing how graceful a human can be on a completely solid surface.
Balletlover Amelia I use to go here but I don't like ballet no more my other ballet school even offer me an audition for something then they ask me to do point and I thought I was terrible and they thought I was good for first try so they keep offering me the audition then I went to Anaheim ballet but quit after one year cuz I was getting tired I have soo much classes in one hand
They do it on pointe shoes, it is really easily. It is standard skill to make double pirouette to the left and to the right. And make more force with your hands, and keep you leg turned. That is all🙂
I was obsessed with this video when I was growing up. I remember pausing it at the beginning and waiting patiently for like 10 minutes for it to load completely, so I could watch it without interruptions.

misty copeland started at 13, and another very famous dancer whos name i cant remember started at 15! it is never too late! if you are passionate about something, then nothing can stop you from achieving your goal.
Thank you Dancers for all of your hard work, discipline, blood, sweat, tears, and passion! You delight us with your wonderful gift and humble us with your extraordinary abilities to bend the body into a work of art.
Ballet is my life. Watching this is SOOOO inspiring... People didn't think I could do ballet like I can because I am a bigger dancer and even being bigger doesn't mean you shouldn't chase after your dreams... And I just got my pointe shoes and I start on pointe on Tuesday! :)
It takes so much hard work, discipline and pain to do what these mean and women are doing. I really admire them for their patience and willingness to keep working.
I love ballet. I am done dancing for life b.c. of a severe injury. I still tihnk it is a beautiful way to express yourself so that everyone can understand..
To me ballet is one the most beautiful forms of art. Yes I said art. I do not consider it a dance but an art. The way these people express themselves with each spin and jump is absolutely magnificent. I wish I had the tenacity to learn how to do this.
I've always dreamed of becoming a ballerina, even until now but we don't have money to enroll in classes. I admire ballet dancers so much. They are so strong and at the same time very graceful. Best kind of dance to ever exist. :)
This is what makes me proud to be a ballet dancer. This is what makes me happy when I attend my training when I could be hanging out with my friends, watching tv, or relaxing. Non-dancers don't realize how many sacrifices that dancers have to make
NEVER EVER STOP DANCING! A few years ago I did point ballet and I use to be REALLY flexible. But ten I quite and here I am regretting I quite. So don't stop! Keep moving forward with whatever form of dance u dream to master. Happy trails :)
When you start doing ballet, there are times that you wish to quit, you wish that you had never started ballet at the first place. But life is a challenge and sometimes you just have to go for it. but the feeling of thinking that you actually achieved sth, worth everything, worth all the pain and hard work and mistakes and the times when the teacher yelled at you in front of the class... It is impossible to explain and I believe only ballerinas can understand it. You can read the rest on top
I'm in agreeance with you. I don't think it's understood how much you have to isolate muscles and hw much balance you have to have in order to dance ballet. I think it's so beautiful and such a graceful form of art but I love all types of dance :-)
try streching your hamstrings by doing extensions at the bar. grab your heel and try to extend it then pull it as close as you can twards your ear. when you are actully doing the kicks also try squeezing your things as this forces the muscles to contract and in return make your leg go higher. hope this helps!!!
The thing is, the more I watch these videos the more I tell myself I should practice ballet more often but I just end up sitting right in front of the computer watching these videos!!!
That reminded me of a quote my teacher had on his shirt the other day 'If ballet was easy it would be called football' totally had me cracking up. It was great.
To Mr Evan Rosenberg: It's been 10 years of this video. And I've been subscribed for 10 years to this channel. I think, that we deserve another incredible, magnificent and exciting video like this was. And I'm sure, that you could grant my wish and many people's. I think this could be great for the company, the audience and all the world of dance. You could give it a try, Mr Evan. We'll be really glad to see all of these dancers and the new generation work and dance together again. Hope you'd hear my wish. I believe in you. I believe in Anaheim Ballet! More than Dance!!! 💃
Absolutely amazing. :) how beautiful, so much skill & strength poised in such a graceful delivery, ballet & its performers ...WoW! U guys & gals rule. Cant wait to watch a performance live one day, god bless.
People who do ballet are amazing. It takes more concentration and toned muscle to balance your body for a perfect pirouette than any other sport. Wish I could do half the things those ppl in the video are doing but I haves no body muscles :D
I'm 13 and a girl started at the same time and she was 16 our teacher said it doesn't matter what age we are just how much effort we put into our dancing
@dancejmk i think that the strength a male ballerina has is amazing and a lot of people underestimate this, I have done scottish country dance since i was 7 (now 14) and understand how hard it is and then after laughing at things like the scottish step pas de basque they rely on help from the girls like me. They cant understand how hard it is and how straong you have to be. I'm glad that someone shares my opinion :)
I really miss this video!! I used to watch this video in my childhood a lot.
I saw this video many years ago and watching again still amazing!

Gorgeous! Ballet dancers have the most beautiful bodies of any athlete! What a gift!
Holy shit, that Asian guy FLIES!! you dancers are AMAZING!

This male dancer with the brown shirt and red headband is absolutely amazing! His jumps are truly outrageous! Respect to him from the Netherlands

I love BALLET !!!!!!!
No Dislike BALLET
I'm starting eleven days from being fourteen, and planning to go professional (:
I love watching ballet. I myself never had the privilege of learning, I'm 18 now, it's too late, but I still love watching such talent.
It's never too late

So glad for the diversity
cyberpragya ...That's stupid.
cyberpragya what diversity? Gender? Fuck off mate, ballet is for both genders
Fernanda - Exceedingly so...
@@merrymaurader8283 pretty sure they meant the ethnic diversity.
Jacky Star ballet is for all ethnics
Misty Copeland being one of the most attractive females in ballet
01:45 I tried doing this bit but I just fell forward and squished my pizza :(
I used to watch this video religiously when I was a kid... Finally found it again after many years and it brings back so many memories :)

Thank you Dancers for all of your hard work, discipline, blood, sweat, tears, and passion! You delight us with your wonderful gift and humble us with your extraordinary abilities to bend the body into a work of art.
Ballet in my blood.
Ballet is my life. Watching this is SOOOO inspiring... People didn't think I could do ballet like I can because I am a bigger dancer and even being bigger doesn't mean you shouldn't chase after your dreams... And I just got my pointe shoes and I start on pointe on Tuesday! :)
stunning collection of dancers showing what they can do - thanks for this
It takes so much hard work, discipline and pain to do what these mean and women are doing. I really admire them for their patience and willingness to keep working.
These dancers love what they do and suffer for their passion. Respect
The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Absolutely AMAZING!
i remember this video from yeaarrrsss ago! so nostalgic!
I really respect the girls who do it...I'm always watching their legs on pointe. Its beautiful. And their balance in pirruetes is amazing!!
I love ballet. I am done dancing for life b.c. of a severe injury. I still tihnk it is a beautiful way to express yourself so that everyone can understand..
The music coupled with the dancing keeps me coming back to this page
It takes a lot of hard work to make things look so beautiful and effortless !
To me ballet is one the most beautiful forms of art. Yes I said art. I do not consider it a dance but an art. The way these people express themselves with each spin and jump is absolutely magnificent. I wish I had the tenacity to learn how to do this.
I LOVE THAT MOVE AT THE END! It is like up then down then tip! This is TALENT!
I have probably watched this video 100 times but something about it is very spirit lifting. I am dancer and definitely look up to these people!!! :)
I have such an admiration for ballet dancers. The guy with red bandana was spectacular! My body couldn't do this even if I had a magic wand lol
I wanted to take ballet classes when I was younger, but there weren't any ballet studios in my area.
I've always dreamed of becoming a ballerina, even until now but we don't have money to enroll in classes. I admire ballet dancers so much. They are so strong and at the same time very graceful. Best kind of dance to ever exist. :)

in my opinion, this is the most famous ballet video in the world
NEVER EVER STOP DANCING! A few years ago I did point ballet and I use to be REALLY flexible. But ten I quite and here I am regretting I quite. So don't stop! Keep moving forward with whatever form of dance u dream to master. Happy trails :)
i'm 11 and have only been doing ballet for 2 years, but love it so much! never gonna quit!
wow this is a great video and those are great ballet dancers. this video can really open peoples eyes and show them how amazing and hard ballet is.
deserves a lot of respect. It may seem prancy and such, but ballet dancers are the most athletic people in the world..
how can you be so strong, but at the same time be so easy as a feather?
Ballet is simply just a gift those people were born to have.
OMG!! i remember watching this video 4 years ago this video made me dedicate my LIFE to ballet.
When you start doing ballet, there are times that you wish to quit, you wish that you had never started ballet at the first place. pretty video , like & love it! I was studying dance many years & I admire dancers so much 😍😊👣.
i've watched this 1000 times, never get tired of it!
Ballet is truly an art, for those engaged in ballet, it is more than dancing but instilling discipline to oneself
it's funny because it looks so painless and simple but oh boy is there so much work that goes into this
ive always wanted to be a ballet dancer never got round to doing it, to old now but love watching them perform
So beautiful. Ballet for me, is one of those dreams that got away.
ASDFGHJKL; you are all AMAZING dancers! The way you can land in those positions perfectly is... woah! I am sooooooo jealous right now!!!!!
I wish I'd stuck with ballet... 13 years and the fouete turn was still elusive, y'all look gorgeous
Questo video è stupendo con ballerini super bravi e in poco tempo sono riusciti
a tirare fuori tutto il bello della danza classica 😃😃😃💜💜💜👯
if i could turn back time i would of never quit dance cause ballet had always been my favorite

When I dance I forget everything and I get lost in another world I hope to as good as these dancers some day
I always wanted to know how they theach the pirouettes, because all of them have amazing pirouettes !
I'm working towards trade 5 right now but I'm already being taught jumps that I need a lot of strength for im also a freestyle disco dancer!
her fouette turns are flawless
Ballet is simply a beautiful sport that requires a combination of grace, strength, flexibility and agility. Absolutely mesmerizing.
Amazing! Beautiful! Superb! The guy in the bandana is brill!

Breathtaking, isn't it? Seemingly effortless yet unimaginably complicated.
These people are so incredible!
That reminded me of a quote my teacher had on his shirt the other day 'If ballet was easy it would be called football' totally had me cracking up. It was great.

More than Dance!!! 💃
Omg those are the cleanest pirouettes I've ever seen
I think we all experienced our own ballet today. A ballet of emotions, feelings.
I used to be a ballet dancer but then I stopped. I'm thinking about doing ballet again. Its just so beautiful :)
Absolutely amazing. :) how beautiful, so much skill & strength poised in such a graceful delivery, ballet & its performers ...WoW! U guys & gals rule. Cant wait to watch a performance live one day, god bless.
This helped me to become a professional ballet dancer when I was a teenager, wonder what happened to Anaheim ballet
People who do ballet are amazing. It takes more concentration and toned muscle to balance your body for a perfect pirouette than any other sport. Wish I could do half the things those ppl in the video are doing but I haves no body muscles :D

Ballet makes me forget about all my troubles and physical pain. It's just me, my dance and the music :)
OMG this is soooo awesome!!! I LOVE THIS video! very inspiring it makes me wanna dance!!
