Can you do a video on how to use your little "pocket hole" making tool and provide examples of when it is beneficial to use? I've seen you use it a few times now and it has peaked my interest!
@@taylordanetriplett I used twin sheets! The cool part was I had different color schemes too cause it’s so easy to buy sheets at a great price! Well worth it I thought!
The couches came out great and I really like the design. Just one question . . . are you happy with the height of the seat? I'd like to do the same thing, but maybe raise the 1x8s up a few inches to make the tops of the seat cushions around 15"-16".
@@JLThisisMe for us to see height is great, but I would definitely say it’s a little low. If your knees or joints are giving you any issues, a little height might be a great idea!
Thank you for the tutorial! I've been trying to search 4x4 pine board but I can't really find it from HomeDepot or Lowe's. Do you ahve any recommendation?
Yes they are sizes of the wood you buy but technically the actual size is smaller because when you bUy a 1x8 for example its actual measurement is 3/4” x 7.25” due to the milling process
great video but lose the music, especially when you are talking or drop the music levels alot lower. Not a criticism just hard to hear what you are saying sometimes :)
You make it look so easy. Very nice job. They should last a lifetime, they're so sturdy.
Thank you so much! They have been solid 🙌🏼

Great idea! It is such a great tool and when constructing furniture it makes for much stronger joints.
That is really sweet!
Yea cushions is what kills ya on the cost. I learned that my first time round so on my second one I used a twin mattress. Worked like a charm!
Cool idea!
What did you use for covers on the twin?

@@Nailgun_Nelly thank u! And during the off season I stored them in my sons room and made a “cozy corner” for him with pillows and the mattresses.
Thanks so much Great job! It is so rewarding to build something yourself and your family enjoy it.
It really is!

Our knees are fine but we do have some guests that would find this height to be a little low.
Thank you for the great video! Is the plan wirh measurements available?
In the description you can find my blog tutorial

Can you tell me if you purchased pressure treated pine lumber for all the wood?
No I sealed it with 4 coats of course xterior spar urethane
How do you disasemble the couch when moving homes?
I wouldn't think theres a need to disassemble with them being outside furniture, no need to walk thru the house or thru doors
We never plan to disassemble
Awesome project, great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
How are the cushions and covers holding up?
Great! The covers have faded a bit but I have washed them and they look new, i have not gotten covers for winter which I may do this year
For exterior uses you should consider titebond 3 which is water proof and out door approved.
Thanks for the tip!
Love the video. On future videos, could you please keep the music sound lower or off? Makes it hard to hear your voice. Thanks! 😊
Will do!
I don’t think you gave the measurements for the back rest. Can you please give me the measurements for the back rest?
I think instead of going with 4 x 4’s I would go with two by fours kind of seems overkill because then you drop down to a one by
I wanted a chunky look and a 2x4 would look flimsy
Really nice ❤❤❤
Thanks 😊
Why would you angle cut your joints?
I'd imagine because it removes the look of end grain on both perpendicular pieces.
What he said
They look great!
Thank you!
Can you share height of the back rest?
I believe its in the blog tutorial!
I looked into this. It’s over $200 just for the foam.
When I bought it nope, i did this 3 years ago and it coat that much for one couch
How much can I sell these on Fb marketplace lol
Are these measurements in inches? (4x4, 1x8...)

Where is cut list?

A little putty, a little paint, makes a carpenter what he (she) ain't.
It’s actually true

Started good but then obviously can’t follow what you’re doing
Obviously
What is up with the music… way too much
Clueless
A youtube comment is a weird place to write one-word descriptions of yourself, but sure have at it man.
What does 1- 6ft Pine Board mean? How big is that one? And do you think cedar would be more or less sturdy? I love the project, thanks!
Cedar would be a great choice and probably hold up better I just wanted a lighter color wood.
Your papuska is showing. Have modesty.
