Heat weapons on mid-long range rifles mean you can just stay scoped from one target to the next. Reload animation forces a descope. Not the only rifle that can do this (Obelisk and Phaseshift can too) but it's still a nice option.
That's fair, but the situations this geniunely makes a difference are few and far inbetween. Also, trapping yourself in scope exposes you massively to tunnel vision, which will get you killed.
i strongly disagree. since the arsenal update the revenant has been my most used weapon. I only use directive weapons though. In my opinion this weapon was the only directive gun that benifitted from heat at the cost of lower damage per mag, considering it already has enough rounds to kill 9 targets before needing to reload. I used to primarily carry skorpios for my infil, but with the loss of an extended mag option, the damage per mag is too low to justify the heat mech. Now i will say the revenant is mostly useless on every class, except infil. I would never substitute it for my darkstar on medic, and refuse to even run it as a secondary with ASP. Likewise, I would never use it on engi because all heat mech weapons are useless. However, having unlimitted ammo as an infil, with enough range to 2-tap all infantry that get too close, provides a disgusting playstyle that allows the user to flank and spam without consequence. With the eidolon, if you miss the second headshot, you are punnished for spamming to secure the kill with body shots by having a limited ammount of ammo. Now, you could point to the obelisk, which also has heat mech and the potential to 2-tap at long ranges, but is much less forgiving due to its inferior reload, fire rate, and magazine size. Now I dont know how you use this weapon, or play infil, but to not bennefit immensely from infinite ammo would suggest youre either not flanking far enough away from your engis or playing too aggressive and dying before you would run out of ammo with eidolon. Personally, I immediately wrote off the manticore ammo due to its velocity countering my mid to long range playstyle. I use high velocity to extend the range I can effectively engage targets while spamming. As far as the other factions directive battle rifles are concerned, I would pick the Revenant over any of them and find it as the closest OP weapon the VS arsenal has to offer compared to NCs Tempest...but still nowhere near as OP as that weapon.
Benefits of the Revenant are few: 1. it's FREE 2. when you Auraxium medal with it, you get 200c (just like other guns that aren't free) 3. it's sparkly (weee! Vanu Disco Party Certified!) ...that's about it, yeah
i started to aurax the nyx again with the new attachment changes and buffs ^^ man i must say its so broken with unstable ammo and the rate of f ire it has
@@yanlexi well i usualy have 40% accuracy when i hard sweat and on coffein , but with this weapon i get easy 48% accuracy and just twoshot anyone it so funny just to click two times on your mouse and see people fall down xD the only big downside i have with it is the firerate in general it could be slightly higher and less visible recoil for range but for mid and close range this thing is rly a beast
Great video bro keep up the good work

I'm glad you started uploading more, ps2 content is so few and far between these days.
I try, lol. Big backlog and lots of inspiration from 'old' reviewers. IGoRawr, Lone Hawk, Wrel, etc.

What do you think of the spectre semi auto sniper. Imo it's really good after the arsenal patch.
It's fine, but bolts are arguably just better. Learning to use a CQC bolt (Ghost) will take you farther.

Yeah, I've heard Unstable has made it silly. Really need to try it, just no will to pick up VS again...
