Yes it is a personal choice and depending on the cultural food preference of the host and guest.
They may be serving it at weddings now to cater to the younger crowd but the point i am making is that chow mein or noodles are not goan food items. I havw been to countless Goan weddings even in huge resorts Nd they served fish curry rice, fried fish, sol curry and even dry prawn curry with dry mango peels.
That is Goan food. I rest my case.

South Goa or North Goa chow mein is chinese and noodles or pasta is italian.

@@claradesa8713 you are absolutely right Goan is fish curry rice but they don’t serve it at weddings!!!
But I have also been to many Goan weddings in Goa and Mumbai I have seen CHOW CHOW, Russian salad, Chinese food served but Goan style nothing wrong with that it’s individual choice
