huge respect for the fourth lifter - very strong, keep it going!
The fourth lifer is an absolute warrior
Thanks for all the great tips on my bench (lifter 2). I actually started trying flat shoes that had better grip a week after sending my video in. Made a huge difference in the overall feel of the lift.
Lifter 1 - This is great advice as after watching my lifting videos I'm doing the exact same things as him and experiencing the same elbow tendonitis. Super frustrating. I'm gonna try those tips tomorrow. Thanks CBB!
Awesome discussion with two bright minds who complement each other. Really good episode guys !
Solid analysis on Lifter 1
It's really cool to hear how a good coach (or coaches rather), break down certain parts of the lift and help the lifter improve through ques and helping dissect a lift. Good show, I get something out of it every time
I also like the bit about keeping the setup in the video. It's so important to see how the lifter applies tension pre - unrack
shoutout to the fourth lifter
As far as what Nick says at the end, I dont look at a DL as a pull. I think that mindset often gets newer lifters in trouble because they dont properly hinge or wedge. They just pull.
To me, its really a standing free weight leg press.
Slippery vinyl pads on benches drive me crazy. I can't get planted securely on them. I much prefer an uncovered or fabric covered solid wooden pad.
If you squint, Nick looks like Lenard from The Big Bang Theory
I’m clueless on the chest back que.
what program does Bryce use to draw in the videos?
Get lifter 4 some heeled shoes! Ankle mobility limitations, amputation related or otherwise, can benefit a lot from a heel. You can see his heels come up off the ground at the bottom.
Lifter 1: what I'm seeing is a lot of leading with his right side when coming up from the bottom of the squat. I was doing this. I suggest going to a physical therapist and getting evaluated. Possible not all hip flexors are right and the glute meds are not quite doing their job.
Belt only works for me when bracing really hard, tires me out very quickly.
that mehar guy smh
19:00 I would not wear just socks in sumo with smooth wood platform, it clearly make your legs slide
I forgot my lifting shoes that day and didn't want to go barefoot. Lol But I agree, although there might be something to learn from lifting in socks
@@philipcremers yes definitely! I love lifting in socks but not sumo on slippery wood 😂
@@philipcremers brother how is your deadlift lockout so strong?
@bigclint5622 I train that way on purpose, if the lockout isn't clean I fix it or lower the weight. I want it to be hardest in the beginning and then smooth to lockout. Bryce talks about setting technical maxes, sort of the same thing
@@philipcremers cheers, will look into it
Nick again? Nice
Hi
damn was actually liking the video until you started having an ego about competing in IPF lol. crazy how ipf lifters think their federation is god tier and nothing else is comparable.
Lats are overrated in PL?!….alright get Nic outta here😂😂😂😂😂😂
I mean, he’s right.
Yeah right, it's not like he's pulled 367.5 @83.
he’s all about reducing range of motion hence the sumo, that’s why he wants people to relax their lats and round the upper back so they can get their hips as close to the bar as possible
@@benchgoblin It’s also better if you want to keep a flat back.
