Much work done to the coily to make it so capable? Over the pond the coily seems to be looked at as the poor cousin to the leafys. Surprising to see one right in the thick of things there...

It has got Toyota prado Difs under it, Early model samurai gear driven transfer case with lower gearing, a 16v 1.6 vitara motor and a lot of work put into trimming and welding the guards so the 35s fit.
It goes really well although it had a pretty bad accident last year and now has a new ute cab instead of the tin top.

NZ Zookers Are most of these trucks on 35s and what gear ratios in the transfer boxes?

@Greg Winn All trucks are are are on 33s in this video, maybe the coily has 35s and all have 4.9:1 gears in the transfer case and standard diff gears

NZ Zookers awesome thanks for that. I’m just looking at making these mods to my 413. 4.9 gears over 6.5? What height lifts and brands are you running? Lockers? Cheers

Greg Winn Greg Winn unless you are rock crawling or running bigger than 33s 6.5 are real slow. Depends what your doing I guess. We have 2inch leaf spring lift that are a bit longer than standard from a local spring making shop. Most run lock right lockers front and back. Spool in back if not road legal. I’ve got a air locker in front of mine but Expensive and have broken it once already. Lock rights seem the go
