So far this is my favorite version of this song or Ozar Midrashim I have encountered. Credit to the author for giving this song some body with the strings in addition to the other instruments.
Cool stuff! It's very different and I know the drum beat, vocals, and synth horn/bagpipe thing going on. It's good. Still prefer the original but it's a great thing to have out there. Thanks for sharing it with us!
i appreciate the time and also passion put in to this but........no not for me, everything just seems so oddly out of tune, in many parts theres just far to much going on kinda as if the editor has only just learned how to edit music and has gone over board with all the samples they have at his/her disposal. even if i didnt know of the original i would be very confused in this particular piece. Again, not trying to shit on the editor as im sure people who see my message may get butt hurt, i honestly do appreciate effort when effort is put in
I mean, being overwhelming is kindof this song's purpose. At least in its use in Soul Reaver, it's supposed to show how insignificant Raziel is when compared against his larger than life manipulators like Kain and the Elder God. the almost excess of different elements here is like all the different voices screaming at him to do as they say.
