I left 20 years ago now . The biggest crane was the DEMAG 9600 I hv used to lift upper structures of Paris stadium . What a fantastic technical progress uptill now ... Congratulations to the mates and family which stays as exemple !!
Although I had the opportunity I would never run such a large crane, Too slow and too few lifts, but it's great that it is possible to lift 3000 tonnes. Great video - thanks for that you would share it with us :-)
What an incredible machine! I bet the folks who put the crane together grew up playing with Leggo's and building jigsaw puzzles. This is an amazing video! Thank you Sarens!
well don , all person ,s is involved in bulled this giant and magnificent CRANE . no world to say about this great invention....... but a ..... dream for me . oooogashhhhhhhh
The ballast of the crane consists of built-up special reinforced 40ft containers filled with locally sourced material. Up to 3.600 metric tonnes of ballast is carried by the ring.
All heavy lift cranes take much labor too erect them. Even large mobile cranes can take almost an entire day to rig. many times there is more man hours in the set up and take down of a crane than there is in actual hours of work needed to be done, but there is no getting around it. These machines are too big and too heavy to trans port in even a semi complete form.
It is still an impressive machine. Will like seeing the WSI 1:50 scale model for real, when it is available! Thanks for posting this vid.Good to see it being assembled. Not just a large boom in the distance.
You're completely right that we're missing a part of the setup, it has not been skipped but missing because of wrong communication and we will learn from our faults. Jean
Look at what we have to do to lift this, yet our ancient ancersters were able to do this with no crane at all. What have we forgoten since 12,000 years ago
@@conclaveluminis Have you seen soem of the stones that were moved around the world 12,000+ years ago. There are hundreds of docos on ancient mega structures that have stone blocks that weigh even more that 3200 tons.
@@DieterSoegemeier I respectfully disagree. The largest monolith moved by man was the "Thunder stone" of Saint Petersburg. The estimated mass of the thunderstone (calculated by volume) is 1,250 metric tonne. There is a 1,500 metric tonne (cut stone) at Baalbek, Lebanon however, the stone was not moved and remains in location at the quarry.
@@conclaveluminis Yes but they would not have cut ut if they could not move it. Have a look at rhe ones holding up the temple mount in Israel and the ones they have now found in Russia that are many times as big as the one in Baalbek. The point is that we are not as advanced as we like to think, because the ancients moved them without a crane.
I know what you mean but the employees of Sarens haven't not only mount the crane but also built the crane, it's Sarens who has developed the crane together with Rigging International.
I like Sgc 250! Wow it's so big, this is the biggest crane in The world that's why I love it!!! I even draw this crane this thing is insane and this thing is even bigger than big Ben crazy right!!!!! Men I even got a Playlist of this crane, so amazing I always draw this!!!!!!!!
For the love of Pete, can you man up? There are some jobs that are inherently dangerous, and no amount of whining and crying will change them. Watch a video of the Hoover Dam being built, or the Golden Gate bridge. If it were up to skirt wearing men like you those projects would have never taken place. But they would be nice and comfy and safe. Just hungry and unemployed.
Danny Criss Yeah your right, building a crane is more important than someones eyesight, someones fingers, its all about being a true man. You are probably American so its cool.
Paul, classic ignorance on your part, Sarens has an impressive safety record all thing considered, but don't let the facts get in the way or your keyboard ramblings
6overzilla Where does the ignorance come into it ? Can you spot four instances in the first two minutes of the video where there are the likely possibility of injury ? No one is perfect but with a little effort we can cut the injury rate in the crane industry.
One of the Sarens family is recently killed in Mexico, Acapulco, where they also have a division. He was the leader of that division. It was during a robbery, a car jacking that he got shot by a drug gang...
The "black tubes" are steel tanks filled with water and extra weighted with steel mats to finally reach the 3200 tonnes expected for the lifting tests.
Units tend to be at a construction job there. If how you can take advantage of this construction, including factories and houses road? I would like to applaud the efforts of the world geonseolin sweat even in this time with a sense of responsibility to its own craftsmanship. You are gorgeous!
I would have to agree, it is very troubling to see this video of workers assembling this monstrosity of engineering, with such little regard to safety and their own well being. So many opportunities for injury, and to proceed in their own yard, with everyone no doubt watching this as it was built. Speaks volumes as to what is important to them. Really great video none the less, amazing how large this machine actually is. I had the opportunity recently to work next to Mammoets PTC, and that was mind blowing in size. This looks to be just as massive.

Thanks for the kind comment, always nice to get positive comments and it was a real pleasure to follow and film the build of the crane
I really like this movie...GREAT JOB.....I really learn a lot about this crane
An eye-opener! The largest crane I have ever seen! Thanks for uploading!

This looks being Vietnamees what means The work is great. Thank you, Jean
The thing dominates the construction industry. It's got a lot of pulley.
You gotta SERIOUSLY need one of these cranes to use one, so much effort to build it and ship it etc but so impressive too.

@AC160 It's a pleasure to share just like it was a pleasure to film.
Yes... I'd like to rent this crane for one day, how fast can you have it set up hahaha
Nickel antiseize, sledge hammers and 3 ton chain jacks.
Now we're having fun
Cool to know - the boom and strut bases along with some of the sheaves were made in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
It's a great movie, but maybe the music is too loud, it's better to hear the real sounds, which are only in the background...
Thanks ;-)
I saw that men Sarens mounted crane, I mean who built the crane? for example Liebherr, Manitowoc or Terex ...........
thanks for the reply!
My ocd was off the charts at the power cable routing 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Ik love this i love Sarens
Very impressive and superb engineering !
as per usual mankind makes an over complicated machine to do a simple job. nice video mind.
I hope you mean both, the crane and the movie :-)
Best regards, Jean
1ST time a saw sarens make very big crane uts awesome really
Thank you very much for your kind comments.

how some one can get job on your campony as forklift driver and truck driver who know to use crane, wheel loader .....

Amazing lift.
A crane powerful enough to lift a 1 micrometer-sized chunk of white dwarf star material.
That thing is amazing. Great video.

a lot of work for gigantic look !
The crane has been build by Sarens itself with employees of the company.
Amazing
there's enough space for a small office complex under that thing. Need to utilize the space!

Awesome!!!
You could've had worse music but I don't know where you'd find it.
