Before the internet Barry was almost the John Peel of films for the BBC.
He was more often right than wrong and was very open minded about all types of movies.
Barry’s interviews were also often very good.
Long story short - Barry was great.

Sorely missed. It sort of felt like he was out of the limelight when he left the BBC in the late 90s. I guess Sky TV were offering bigger bucks
