She just has a really smarmy attitude about it. Like, I heard one person describe it as this "Her original allegation video we met child Caiti, in the newest twitch stream we're talking to adult Caiti." Let's say she really truly wants to be believed, do you think attacking people who are asking legitimate questions is the best way to appear in the public eye? She dragged herself into a highly publicized situation, has a sub counter on her response stream and is acting very defensive when people understandably start asking questions.
IDK, it just makes her look awful. Humility would've served her well, wither or not she's telling the full truth.
TBH, the fact they continued to speak a year after the event doesn't seem like the situation is as bad as she's making it out to be. If anything, I feel perhaps she wanted a more emotional /romantic connection or maybe fame through a friendship and he just ghosted her.
She wasn't friends with him, she wasn't dating him - there was no reason she had to continue interacting with him over DMs -- or so she claims. If she was so traumatized, why engage with your abuser when you literally wouldn't have to?
Other SA victims have circumstances involved, like maybe its a friend, maybe its a family member, maybe a co-worker, it could be their romantic partner. Breaking off from those situations may be far more difficult. But George literally lives in another country so.. ?

Intentionally falsely accusing someone of being a sexual abuser is pretty much just as bad as actually being a sexually abuser. It can literally ruin someone’s life and make it torture. Incredibly awful of her. Not only that but it undermines actual victims.
Funny enough, false accusations of this sort are literally a crime. I guess people forget slander and defamation exists, and there are laws against it for this exact reason.

@@BrokenEclipse Funny enough, George now does have a legal case against her for defamation, emotional harm/anguish and lost potential earnings. Defamation is a no brainier because she essentially ruined his reputation as most people that look him up will see diddle accusations. Emotional damages/anguish can essentially be the death threats and hate messages he got on X and by the sheer number he got, any good lawyer can get you a decent amount. Lost potential earnings are usually tied to defamation as the first thing you find when looking up George is diddle accusations. And no one wants to have any connections to a diddler. Its hard to say in the online space but damages are usually calculated by taking the atm income, times it by the amount of years til retirement while replacing the income we use as the base number every 5/6 years due to him earning promotions( and we get the new number by looking at the avg income of ppl in [X] position) all while factoring a 1.5% inflation rate but with inflation rn and the earnings of a online personality, VERY hard to say what the total dmg is. What I can tell you is that if he launches a public lawsuit, makes it a big deal, and hires a good lawyer, he can take her to the cleaners. He can launch a campaign of rising up and fighting against false accusers and how she is downplaying the suffering of women, have a go fund me, and try to raise awareness by having people on that were falsely accused. The court of public opinion is basically on his side rn. And if he's ruthless, he can mess with her future. There are ways to dodge the damages that have to be paid by declaring bankruptcy/having a llc(but the odds of her having all the right docs as small streamer are very small) but if he has a good enough lawyer, he can have it so that the damages stick with her. Garnishing her wages indefinitely until the damages are paid in full.

the two main reasons why most victims don't take legal action is because of potentially putting themselves in more danger and also financial stress. it has nothing to do with the justice system being biased. i hope that George starts to ignore all of these allegations and takes a well needed break.

America's justice system is terrible when it comes down to women sexual assault cases. Most sexual assault cases the offender walks away, if they do get found guilty they don't get many years for what they did.🤷♂

Reason why people don't go to court is because of multiple reasons. The justice system is fucked, the costs are very expensive, and she never said she wanted to see him in jail. She wanted to share her story to feel better. I do agree she should've done it differently and think first before saying things.

George's inconsistency is that he thought Caiti was wearing a 21 year old wrist tag. It's kinda funny too that she mentions it right when you put the words up over her face at 8:10.
The issue is that George's inconsistency doesn't destroy the central point in his defense (it has no impact because she is still 18, ie an adult).
Her inconsistencies do. It calls into question the validity of one of her witnesses' testimony to what events happened that night, and hers for not remembering whom the text was from.

As a victim of sa when i was a minor i really do not like how she is portraying this. It sounds like a girl who regrets liking a guy..Ive been in that exact same situation with the exact same age gap and i do not feel like i was assaulted. This really makes real sa victims not taken seriously. She was literally lying about her age as shes underage drinking. It actually angers me cause when i was 18 i do NOT hold people accountable for MY actions. I take all responsibility for my own actions at 18. Im 30 now and it would actually piss me off if people made me out as a victim for dating older guys when i was younger. No i was an adult making life choices.
An example:
If you sit in a chair and tell a hairdresser to cut your hair shorter and shorter till you say when and you want them to stop. But then you dont say anything at all. So they cut it too short waiting for you to say when. Is it the hairdressers fault that you didnt tell them when to stop at the length you wanted? or is it your fault for not telling them to stop when they were at the right length?
Your choices or lack of choices lead to an outcome. This is being an adult. You cant blame others for your actions or lack or action.

As a victim of sexual assault myself I always really want to believe sexual assault victims when they come out about something but since the beginning of this I have been really skeptical and I am not really a fan of George at all. I don't think it's fair to make decisions by the way she sounds because saying 'she sounds like she's lying' doesn't do anything to throw her points away. What does is the way she has been going about this, just the amount of inconsistency in her story does not add up. When you make something like this so public you have to be consistent with your story which can be frustrating but is necessary in a claim. Leaving out the fact he touched her breast completely threw out her credibility to me. Do I believe George made her uncomfortable, sure, he did put his hand on her waist but from what I remember he was also drunk meaning he couldn't consent to anything either, because that goes both ways. The stuff about the law I actually 100% agree with but I feel as though she is taking advantage of that information. If Caiti had reported this to the authorities there would not be enough information to do anything, and even if there was, the act of putting his hand up her shirt and resting it on her waist when they were both drunk would not really constitute a sexual assault charge. She's allowed to be uncomfortable, but being uncomfortable does not mean she was sexually assaulted.

One of my biggest reasons for disbelieving Caiti was because in that same live stream she said there was no possible way she could’ve wanted anything with George because she’s asexual but then later says that therapists told her she was asexual because of this situation so like I don’t get why so much of her story contradicts it self. And why every excuse she can think of is debunked

I'm English, so it's natural for me when I hear a traditionally American accent, but what gets me is the way she stresses certain sounds. And her smiling while fake laughter comes out while she speaks and makes her voice shake. It's not out of fear, nor an emotional like sadness, it's anger.
And while, as a victim myself, I understand anger, perhaps more than most, her anger is being directed at the wrong people and she is not acting in a way that lines up with her story of being fearful and hesitant and anxious to a fault. She has said numerous times that she has anxiety and struggles to speak out, but all she's been doing is being confrontational and swearing every two seconds.

Forgetting some details that are not important is one thing, but forgetting and/or refusing to add a detail can change the tide of the situation. It’s like if there was a murder and the witness only said, “They have blue eyes," refusing to elaborate more.

even if her inconsistencies are little, as she said, it is hard to think about how lying or mis speaking about little things can lead to trust being taken away from bigger things. I think it's important to say everything clearly without inconsistencies because these are very serious allegations right? Also, in her first stream talking about this, she wrote everything down and was reading it. how could there be any inconsistencies if every one of her statements were written out beforehand and also posted to twitter? I also think it is very harmful to say that the court system wont ever listen to assault victims. i feel like that statement alone would make victims even more afraid of speaking up.
one more thing is, her friends around her gave her, below 21, alcohol to become drunk. she then says her friends were checking in on her bc they witnessed how touchy he was. why wouldn't her friends intervene in the moment? Also it seems like in the messages, she said she was chill about it the next day. it makes me think that her friends kind of made her feel things differently by emphasizing the age gap and emphasizing drinking. idk just my thoughts. (not on anyone's side, parts of her story just confused me)

My honest Opinion:
I genuinely think that a huge part of this is the lack of consent/ lack of asking for it. You can argue about body language all you want but that can be interpreted wrong. If George had asked for consent at all then this wouldn't be happening. I do think that Caiti's rickety story does raise red flags, however I would rather apologize to George about being wrong vs. apologize for not believing a sexual assault victim.
With that being said, I think you make good points defending most aspects around this except for the consent part (which ultimately is the MAIN part of this). As for the drinking part. Caiti WAS 18 and unfortunately was not kicked out/ "dealt with". So Caiti drinking while her choice does not make George even touching her okay.
Lastly, the legal stuff. I am only going to brush this because I am NOT A LAWYER (so please take that into account before reading). From the lawyer expenses to the unfortunate injustice that is often served in the courts, legal action while should be pursued can be difficult, especially after something terrible like this.
